Well , I´m not sure what a Voevoda is , bit his house is Tartu , Elva street . I´m not sure he would be very scared of you. Read my comments on this situation , what happens if it turns out true, huh?

Finland fought back in the Winter War, they resisted, and anyway they gained the respect of the USSR afterwards, and Finland was one of the only Western countries who had great relations with USSR.

Estonia is jealous that they didn't fight.

That is right . Stalin as former professional criminal knew well prison mentality : at first a newcomer to prison gets raped just to see what he is made of . Finland fought with teeth and hands and resisted the Sov.rape. We didn´t. So the whole idea of the republic is that keep it from happening again . Simple . And , quote : ´´gained the respect of the USSR afterwards´´ that sounds as proof of my comparison to me .

Well , went to the city tonight, saw some of the riot. Then came home and saw the TV-coverage of it too . If this is respect for the to their fallen countrymen - drunk russian teenager standing on the broken window of laundryshop , hugging a carton of stolen cigarettes and screaming ´´Rossia, Rossia, blurp, Rossia!!!!´´ then i probably don´t even want to see the standing ovation . Disgusting . BTW, the laundryshop was russian - owned .

Do you live in Tallinn? I visit it regularly. Have grandparents living there.
How bad is the situation exactly? Seems like those Russians always have a knack for messing things up.

Well , seems that 1-2000 drunken russian youths are throwing bottles , breaking windows , but many people , of both nations seem to have had quite a awakening. I heard shouts on TV in Russian ´´Stop the mess , this is our country too!!´´ Seems that 2 policeman are slightly hurt , looters : 1 in hospital , some slightly injured .Looters ~~100 , 30-40 arrested as of now.

At least the police broadly seemed to be on top of things .
For heavens sake they seemed much more plausible when they chanted :´´Pozor!´´ , now they seem to have made their mark full in my eyes.

It's so Russian, throwing bottles just for the sake of throwing them. Just hearing that "they" have insulted "us" is enough.
Is the Livamaa region (near the sport terrain and a Stockmann) all right? My grandparents live there, I'm worried.

Probably they are Ok, the mob is moving towards Viru hotel , seems that they have passed the Liivalaia street , hope your grandparents are OK . the mob seems to be quieting too .

well , the result seems to be : 300 arrested, 99 acts of looting , 1 dead (stabbed) , 1 policeman in hospital, 22 lesser injuries , and around 6AM the B.Soldier was removed.
