Yes Pakistan can play a role in middle-east, but they have the Iranians to consider since they too have similar ambitions. But they have a head start since they have a stable economy, while Pakistan does'nt.The State of Pakistan can play very crucial role within the Middle East, Asia and as well as in the world,

I am sceptical about Zia having an affair with a Houston lady provided by Congressman Charlie Wilson.
While it is OK in Islam to have sex with infidel women or captive woman, I wonder if Zia would go to this extent. And Zia is purpotedly a devout Moslem!

It is prohibited to have sex with women other than your wife. Captive women were distributed among the soldiers in those days and if they have progeny from their captors they were treated as free women on par with muslim women,and the progeny as the lawful inheritors of the captors. Nowadays captive women were kept in jails or treated as prison of wars thus the question of consuming does not arise.
