Whether she is entitled to her opinion or not is not the issue. Of course she is. I am entitled to the opinion that I think someone should bend her head back and take a giant sh*t in her lying mouth.

But that's irrelevant.

What is relevant, in my opinion, is that she is fronting for known Leftist anti-American and anti-Semitic organizations. Article about Crawford Peace House here.

She's not riding a wave of grief about her dead son, she is riding a broom of lies to foment distrust of America and President Bush.

We can only hope. 'Cause about 3 more minutes of her tirade is about all I can take.

There is noooo doubt that this lady went off the deep end. Now she will divorce her highschool sweetheart...the man that gave her this child who chose to go into the military. Just goes to show you some people are beyond selfishness I hope her husband finds the love of his life while she parades around telling everyone how bad our country and government is and neglects the very person who gave her the greatest gift of all. I hate to see the death of a child rip a family apart because this happened to my best friends when he was a child. Somebody please show this lady the road that leads to Canada and tell her to get the **** out. Trust me we wont mind at all. Talk about selfish how many other families lost their children over there. Her son was killed in 2004 what about those lost before then and after then. My thoughts go out to her husband who not only gave her the gift but lost it as well as her and now she deserts him to badmouth our country for days at a time. Unbelievable sounds like someone needs a few prozac blow darts and a one way trip to Canada.

Would you support her? That would just run the risk of her bringing her senseless values home.

I thought that too a few days ago. I may have even posted it here. I have since changed my mind.

She had her chance to voice her thoughts to the President - something not everyone (even everyone who has lost a loved one in Iraq) gets to do. She should have spoken up then. Right now she is only using her dead son to commercialize her anti-war feelings. She is sick. Her family is completely falling apart and she is not the least bit concerned. She would rather sit outside on the side of the road yelling at the President, expressing her "grief". She could have just as easily taken her "grief" and used it to help out at a veterans hospital or visit vets in their homes or offer to take them shopping or countless other things. She could have gone to the homes of other families that have lost loved ones in the war and comforted them, helped cook for them, help them shop or just sat with them. Instead she is trying to turn our armed forces into the enemy. IMO, this woman is the enemy.

Read something about this today that I didn't know before:
Quote:
a little research about Casey Sheehan revealed that contrary to being tricked by military recruiters, Casey Sheehan had re-enlisted in the U.S. Army voluntarily when he was 24-years-old, after serving his first hitch successfully. Casey Sheehan was in fact a hero who received a Bronze Star. He was attached as a mechanic to the artillery division of the 1st U.S. Cavalry in Iraq. When a convoy of soldiers from Casey’s unit was attacked in Sadr City by insurgents, Casey volunteered to join a rapid rescue force to get them out. His commanding sergeant told him he did not have to go into combat, because he was a mechanic and not an infantryman. Casey was quoted telling his officer, “I go where my chief goes.” He was tragically killed during the rescue attempt. The source for this story? Cindy Sheehan herself.

I also visited an army recruiting office on my way home and asked about Casey being promised a job as a chaplain’s assistant only to be thrust into harm’s way. The recruiter explained to me that on re-enlistment, the Army’s B.E.A.R. program (Bonus Extension and Retaining) guarantees everything in writing. If Casey was a mechanic during his first hitch, that was the only thing he would have been guaranteed per his re-enlistment contract. Further research showed that a chaplain’s assistant is a combat infantry position, whereas Casey was deployed in a non-combat job as a mechanic. Casey Sheehan sought combat duty for his country and should be honored for it, not used as a symbol of how evil the United States is.
And now his mother wants the cause he believed in and fought for to fail. The thought depresses me.

Bluesman, I am speechless once again. I cannot even find words negative enough to express my feelings toward Cindy Sheehan.

I can only turn and thank my parents for being supportive and for making me believe that they would continue to be that supportive even upon my death.

I think this has to be a new record for the most hate fired at a single individual on this board, I don't think even Mike Moore received this much vitriol in such a short time.
Wow.
