Saddam Relatives Slain

I wouldn't have expected Shi'ites to be able to pull something like this off in Sunni-dominated Tikrit.

Family killed in Saddam's village

Gunmen have stormed a house in Saddam Hussein's native village in Iraq and shot dead nine members of his clan, some women and children, police say.

The former Iraq leader, hanged for crimes against humanity a year ago, is buried in Awja village, about 180km (110 miles) north of Baghdad.

The past two years witnessed hundreds of tit-for-tat sectarian killings, but they have decreased since last June.

The security improvement has followed operations by US and Iraqi forces.

It may not be the Shiites but another Sunni tribe wishing to take the vengeance on Saddam's tribe.

Well we know women and children were killed in this massacre, can you or anyone else state they were involved in Saddam's madness?............or was being a relative of Saddam's enough to warrant being massacred?

I believe what we were talking about was Saddam's relative, the menfolk. Who I assumed must have been involved when Saddam stuck his iron fist at his own people.

I dont know much about it, But as far as I know most of Saddam's Tikriti family were involved with Saddam. Therefore there is a high chance of the relative being a player, how big. Not so much, If it was we would have seen another PLaying CARD being shown on CNN.

I dont think women and children have anything to do with Saddam's atrocities or even the said relatives in his activities if he had any.

Really? God thinks women and children ought to pay for the follies of another man just because they are related?

Animals. As anybody that knows me can tell, I got NO love for ANY of that whole clan. They're evil, top to bottom.

But when you're killing kids ON PURPOSE - ANY kids - you're no better than Saddam himself.

Whoever shoots children needs to be immediately hunted and killed like the mad dogs that they are. Whatever revenge they think they're entitled to, those kids are no part of it.

No mercy for child-killers.
