No matter who says what, it is a long haul!

The Israeli Air Force, it is stated, raided a Syrian atomic facility!

Middle East is taking a new meaning beyond Iraq!

Well, I guess nobody wants to talk about any of the good news in Iraq anymore. But going back through the threads, THIS one just HAS to be re-animated. Hindsight is a a wonderful thing...and I just LOVE being able to say 'I told you so'.

We have a better perspective at this date than we did then. And now it should be beyond any doubt whatsoever that Democrats tried to defeat their own county in wartime, and it wasn't so much that their judgement was flawed as their motves.

They're treacherous.

Go back through the recent history of this war. Come to any other conclusion. Then explain it to me.

The good news is still hovering in the air. What hasn't changed is politically motivated solutions coming from the dems. Obama's proposal to remove a regiment a month from the time he takes office until all troops are gone except a small force whose only purpose is to combat Al Qaeda in Iraq aims to reduce our presence in that crucial region of the ME to a police action. If the voters only knew how that would cripple our efforts to pressure Iran into ceasing its nuke refinement activities and how it would remove a counter to Iran's ambitions to dominate the Gulf region, they might wonder what Obama is smoking. Or, more likely the voters don't understand what Iraq is all about, which ignorance is no doubt abetted by the dems who fail to acknowledge the wider purpose. Or, perhaps Obama's milktoast idea of a gabfest with A-jad is taken as a substitute for a strong military presence in the region. It seems a majority of Americans are willing to put our vital interests on the backburner. That is, assuming they even know what they are.

It's hard to conceive of any explanation for Obama's timetable other than to win election. Every great statesman of the past must be turning in their grave at the avarice of this once great political party.

Sounds like an invitation to, oh, say, Somalia?
