That would've been about the greatest piece of luck.

No chance to get it turned on again, is there?
No.

The Office of Manpower and Economic Analysis, who created the America's Army online video game, falls under the department that I teach in, and so I was lined up to go down to Punta Gorda for the Virtual Army Experience, which is another project they launched. I'm not sure if they weren't able to coordinate for it to be at the air show or if they scaled back the # of appearances in the beginning in case there were bugs, or if I just got bumped by someone else who wanted a "good" TDY. In any event, I may have had to cancel anyway, as I'm going to a conference the following week at Carlisle Barracks.

If you're at the MacDill AFB Air Show, stop on by the exhibit and let me know what you think. If you see an O4/O5/O6 type in ACUs at the exhibit, chances are that they are from my department.

Should I punch him in the arm for ya?

I'll be there. Anybody else want to come over and meet up at the airshow?

Bluesman,
It's COL Wardynski that's doing the show - he won't know me from Adam as he's too busy with his job to know most of the rotating faculty. However, he's a very interesting guy to talk to - America's Army and the Virtual Experience were both his creations, so I think you'd probably enjoy speaking with him.

I'll look him up.

Bad luck on your TDY, though.

SON. OF. A.....

That is barely 10 minutes up the road from me. I spend 3-4 times as long driving to work for the love of god...
