Absolutely. But do NOT try to sell the Iranian Revolution as the inheritors of that government that was deposed; they're not. So cry me a river about it, but it is NO EXCUSE for behaving like jungle creatures 25 years on.

Actually the National Front did take part in the Islamic Revolution. Islamic parties were also part of the 1950s coalition with the National Front; granted not Khomeni (who wasn't on the scene).
Not the Mullah's fault the NF totally/tragically deluded themselves...

In fact, that's as clear an admission as I've ever seen that you think it was the right thing to do, seizing an embassy and it's diplomats in order to 'make demands'.

The embassy take over caught the top Mullahs with their pants down. Many of the students who siezed it only expected to be there a short time. It turned out to be popular with the masses and the rest was history.

I wouldnt be surprised if Iran finances some of the Sunni factions too, and then just try to hide it from the Shias. They're not too exlcusive on who to give money to as long as it satisfies their goals. Just look at all the money they are pouring into Hamas for example. They could care less about their fellow Shias, what the care about is their own goals and interests. Whether they present themselves in such a manner or not is irrelevant. They always play both sides off of each other, because an unstable Iraq gives a power vacuum to fill

They sure didn't arm the Taliban during the Afghan civil war who were killing Shiites. They didn't sell guns to Israel to keep influence with Lebanon. And playing the role of the protector of Shiites is big in shaping their policy in such nations as Lebanon and Afghanistan.
Our friends the Saudi's are the ones arming the Sunnis who are head chopping. With friends like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan...
