You can't really uninstall IE8 from Win7. But you can disable it.

You can roll IE9 back to IE8, though.

I use IE9 and FF4 on my home machine. IE9 doesn't have Flash 10.3 so I still need FF4 to watch youtube or any other flash content.

I turned off all update feature on FF the second I get it. I find the auto update feature to be rather annoying.

Erm, I was referring to uninstalling.

MS faced lawsuits to enable uninstall IE in the past, I thought I missed the news :D

Must I explain everything to you like I would to Benny????

To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, follow the instructions for your version of Windows. To follow these steps, you must be logged on to Windows as an administrator.

    Steps for Windows 7

To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, follow these steps:

    1. Close all programs.
    2. Click Start
    Start button
, and then click Control Panel.
    3. Click Programs and Feature.
    4. In the tasks pane, click Turn Windows features on or off.
    5. In the list of windows features, clear the check box next to Internet Explorer 8.
    6. You receive a warning message in a pop-up window. Click Yes.

Internet Explorer 8 will now be uninstalled. The system will restart after the installation.

    Actually...I made a mistake....I didn't uninstalll it...just disable it.

...Damn..there you go killing another good thread....

Yes we do. Don't ask Yellow anything....cuz he is wrong.

Uninstalling a program and disabling it is two totally DIFFERENT things, and can cause a major problem. Gunnut I believe mentioned this above.

So Yello, stop trying being the brainy one.....you haven't the brain to do so.
