IIRC he was former PLA, which makes his job quite interesting. i was slated to give a briefing on US-PRC relations at his AWC class this year, but it fell through.

he was a fun guy talk to, though. he has a few interesting papers on sun tzu and the PLA.
The human mind cannot grasp the causes of phenomena in the aggregate. But the need to find these causes is inherent in man’s soul. And the human intellect, without investigating the multiplicity and complexity of the conditions of phenomena, any one of which taken separately may seem to be the cause, snatches at the first, the most intelligible approximation to a cause, and says: “This is the cause!"

I'll offer this article by Robert Haddick of SWJ who discusses concerns raised by Vice Adm. David J. Dorsett-Dep. Chief Naval Operations for Information Dominance. Dorsett's recent press briefing entailed a discussion about his chief concern relative to the PLA/PLAN. While impressed by hardware advances of late, his chief concern appears to be Chinese ascendance into the electro-magnetic spectrum and the non-kinetic deletrious impact this could hold for U.S. combat operations-

Forget about China’s missiles and stealth fighter; worry instead about ‘non-kinetic’ combat-Haddick SWJ Jan. 19, 2011

Along with that, I'll post the transcript from Dorsett's press briefing-
