Nice find that should help all. There's descriptions to the right as you identify each character.

Thanks TM, but I think this is one of those times where ignorance might just be bliss. I ask myself 'would knowing make me any happier'. I suspect not.)

Ah yes, Glenn Beck's favourite book. This all starts to make sense. Wonder what Dredd Scott would have made of Skousen's views on slavery?

Folks, this is a fine example of propaganda

    Hello Gents,

Good stuff posted here by all.

Regarding the Major's original query and sample, I submit the following as in the same vein because the key to growing the cult is to make the personality stand out in the crowd:

    tinymarae,

much thanks for the youtube link.

the best thing about it is that you can see the details more clearly: for instance, the papers at the judge's feet:

Marbury v Madison: first time the Supreme Court judged something unconstitutional, setting up judicial review/system of checks and balances

Martin v Hunter's Lessee: assertion of Supreme Court authority over local courts

Gibbons v. Ogden: assertion of Congress control over the Commerce Clause, overriding state laws

so it becomes clear that the painter is a raging states' rights guy...maybe he should have had the hallowed document as the Articles of Confederation, instead! i'm a bit surprised lincoln didn't get the boot to the right curb.
The human mind cannot grasp the causes of phenomena in the aggregate. But the need to find these causes is inherent in man’s soul. And the human intellect, without investigating the multiplicity and complexity of the conditions of phenomena, any one of which taken separately may seem to be the cause, snatches at the first, the most intelligible approximation to a cause, and says: “This is the cause!"

Did Skousen not argue that you can't call slavery evil as long as you follow the bibles rules regarding slavery?
    uh I might be wrong

you know what is even more impressive? I found this on a Chinese military website, believe me, the Chinese fanboys know a thing or two about propaganda.

That is me. After I learned that "the source of American's greatness comes from as he sees Christ holding the constitution. I am a reformed man because of it.

Kursk As The Germans Shape The Message

Meant for the movie theatres. Note the triumphal music but also note commentators words and tone. Translation provided-

Footage appears to be exclusively II S.S. Panzer Korps. 2:24 mark shows Herman Hoth in his command vehicle.

Thank you for the explanations guys.

I understand the significance of those on the left and right hand of Christ (for the foreground).
BUT I do not understand those in the background - are they separated into 'left' and 'right' as well? If so, I doesn't make sense cause I'm seeing JFK, Reagan, a generic army soldier and few other individuals there that I can't make head and tail of

In regards to the "One Nation Under God" painting:

It's kinda funny how Franklin and Jefferson are in there.

Franklin was a deist and Jefferson was effectively, (but not openly) something of an atheist.

That made me curious,so I checked the numbers.I think they're represented well enough. If you look at the numbers on the left there is one out of 9(7 whites). That kinda fit the proportion. Those in the background, counting those from the modern times include Kennedy,Reagan, the astronaute and the pilot+the black soldier.1 in 5.And there are no bad black guys or any other minority, because as everybody knows, only whites are bad.

Careful Kilo, Skousen wasn't the only 'the Constitution was divinley inspired' nutjob out there. This one was a particularly nasty piece of work.

Rushdoony then pursued history – of the world, of the United States, and of the church. He famously maintained that Calvinistic Christianity provided the intellectual roots for the American Revolution and had thus always had an influential impact in American history. The American Revolution, according to Rushdoony, was a "conservative counterrevolution" to preserve American liberties from British usurpation and it owed nothing to the Enlightenment. He further argued that the United States Constitution was a secular document in appearance only; it didn't need to establish Christianity as an official religion since the states were already Christian establishments.[2]

    Colbert's poster is uber-American, over-the-top and awesome
    Colbert's poster is uber-American, over-the-top and awesome - Fourth-Place Medal - 2010 Olympics Blog - Yahoo! Sports

    By Maggie Hendricks

Stephen Colbert made a mark on the 2010 Olympics well before the cauldron was lit. The Comedy Central talk show host's sponsorship of U.S. Speedskating, spat with Shani Davis and attempt at curling have all made headlines, but his affection for the Winter Olympics is clear.

Now he wants to make a literal mark on the Games by presenting his own official Olympics poster, available as a PDF from his website, where he's encouraging fans to show their support by printing it out and "plastering it all over Vancouver" (though Comedy Central reminds viewers to follow all local laws and ordinances).

Colbert unveiled the poster on Thursday's show while discussing the history of art in sports. The poster was designed by Shepherd Fairey, the same artist who made the iconic "Hope" poster for the Obama presidential campaign.

    Colbert touted the poster's strengths:

"Flames, a heroic person, a low angle so it sort of thins out my face," Colbert said. A Twitter icon is also available for use throughout the Olympics.

Colbert's connection to the Olympics has been hilarious every step of the way. I can't wait to see what he does when "his team," the U.S. speedskaters, wins a medal.
