Nice to see all americans being patriotic, but i think China will snatch this one away for sure.
If they don't then they will be very upset.

Ok there Mr. Kazakhstan, i'm over here in Canada. I would however find some way of betting with you if I had not been against gambling, but a friendly wager indeed. Make the best man win.

    The US without doubt.

China has taken some more measure to control the smog. They are to drastically restrict the number of vehicles in Beijing and close down more industrial units.

If the smog was that bad, then why was China allowed to host the Games? Even if they were to host, then it should have been held at other places than those where the smog and pollution levels were high.

The IOC has faulted and not the hosts!

I'll give you that much, China will win. But they will not be 1st or 2nd place in medal count at the end.

About medal conunt perhaps you are correct . But I am just a host team fan.

In fact, Chinese people are not very concerned about China's sports achievements now.

Can we hold a successful Olympics? During the Olympics game, people in beijing will be safe? Those are what we most concerned about.

We were very concerned about sports results before. But now,The change is very strange. Perhaps because of the first time we have become a host,Perhaps only the host have this mentality.
Of course,we also hope we can win. haha
    GOOD LUCK CHINA TEAM!!!!

Actually I am against Beijing to host Olympics this time, but not for any political reason rather than some personal reason. First of all, it doesn't sound very economic to me, the money can be spent somewhere else for better use such as education and health care.
Second it cause a lot of problems for me on daily basis. Going through airport in any given cities is really pain in the butt.
Third, and the terrorist threat are still very real. Just to show you the effectiveness of the security, I personally smugged a lighter on board airplane during my trip from Shanghai to Beijing back and forth without any detection. Terrorist activities were something people in China only saw on international news until here is Olympics.
Fourth, it drew unnecessary attentions to itself.

Anyways I think Olympics is way overrated. I personally will try to avoid it anyway I can.
