I guess by process of elimination, I hate the Flyers the least. They have not offended me as much...yet.

    Go Flyers.

*Give us a chance Gun, well try not to disappoint.

More importantly, the Sharks lost again.

    Best news this Sunday.

Not that I like the Hawks. I just hate the Sharks.

Interestingly Sharks got beaten again by a team with big forwards (Dustin Byfuglien). The Ducks beat the Sharks last year mainly with Ryan Getzlaf's line. The Wings and the Preds lost because their forwards were smaller.

Note that this will be the 3rd consecutive year to the cup finals for Marian Hossa. Will he lose again like Jim Kelly of the Buffalo Bills, who made Super Bowl 4 years in a row, only to lose 4 times in a row? Or will he be like John Elway, who was labeled a loser early in his career, only to come back to establish himself as one of the great quarterbacks of our time?

May be third time lucky for Hossa

He may indeed be lucky this time.

Mike Richards grabbed the Wales trophy after the Flyers won the Wales (eastern) conference championship. We all know players shouldn't touch any trophy until they actually win the Stanley Cup.

I think Daniel Alfredsson grabbed the Wales trophy in 2007. The Sens lost to the Ducks in 5 games. Scott Niedermeyer avoided the Campbell trophy like the plague after the Ducks beat the Red Wings in conference finals.

Come on Mike, prove us wrong!

    Toews did the right thing

The Philadelphia Flyers and Chicago Blackhawks took very different roads to the Stanley Cup final and that continued as one team snubbed tradition while the other embraced it during trophy presentations for the conference championships.

Chicago captain Jonathan Toews kept with tradition and did not touch the Clarence Campbell Bowl, which is awarded to the winner of the NHL's Western Conference champions.

I dunno Gun, they are facing a very talanted Flyers Team with this team. It will prove to be exciting no doubt. Cheers to Both for making it there and screw Chicago, IMO, Flyers all the way!)

Anyone else notice that Chris Pronger is back in the Cup finals? He took an over-achieving Oilers to the finals in 2006, his first year in Edmonton. They lost to the Canes in 7, I believe. He pushed the Ducks over the top the next year, his first in Anaheim. Here he is, back in the finals, his first year in Philly.

The 2005 Oilers were simply outmatched by the Canes. They made the finals as the 8th seed in the west.

The 2006 Ducks were big, fast, and mean. Their defense and goaltending overpowered the Senators.

I haven't seen enough of either the Hawks or the Flyers to even come close to make a prediction. I think the edge in defense goes to the Flyers, simply because of Pronger. Flyers should also have a slight edge in goaltending. Michael Leighton was a capable backup when he was with the Canes. I forgot where Antti Niemi came from.

Here comes the hard part. I have no idea who has the edge in forwards. The Flyers have Mike Richards, Jeff Carter (bad ass), Simon Gagne, Scott Hartnell (every team needs an agitator), and Claude Giroux. The Hawks have Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp, Dustin Byfuglien, and Marian Hossa.

The Hawks aren't like the 3 teams the Flyers beat to get to the finals. They actually have a potent offense. The Devils were never known for their offense. Bruins were erratic this year. The Habs relied on the hot hands of Michael Cammerleri.

Then again the Flyers aren't like the 3 teams the Hawks beat in the playoffs. Who did the Predators have? Canucks were a one-trick pony. Contain the Sedins and they're done. Sharks were weighed down by their history of choking in the playoffs. Plus they had a soft defense and a stale offense.

I think the series will go 7 games. If I have to pick a winner, I would go with the Flyers. They actually earned their way to the finals by playing their best hockey this season.

    1-0 wooo.
Disappointing game. Didnt expect to hear Chelsea dagger so many times this game.
Captain Serious turned up only for face-offs.Other big names Kane and Dusty did not turn up as well. Hossa was by far our best player on the night. Experience of playing in previous stanley cups certainly shows.

The good news is the big names cannot do any worse than this .
My team played sh!t and still won.
