WHOHHHHHHHH. Hockey gods, is this guy the real deal? Burke praises him alot, "he's not even 22 yet" etc... But I didn't know he was worth 2 first rounders and a 2nd rounder; quite a lot for a guy who wasn't even going to sign an extension with Boston.
Yeah, I think we got the better end of this deal.

    :(

Your future looks great; 2 first rounders!! I hope Kessel is the man Burke keeps saying he is. Our young lad Kadri is pretty good, anyone catch his sweet shoot out goal against the Pens? Magnificent

STupid stupid stupid stupid... Theo Fleury plays like a superstar and then they release him? Man, they should've gave him a go in the regular season.

The deal he signed for the tryout stipulated that he had to earn a top-6 forward position during the pre-season. He obviously didn't play THAT good, so we cut him. No sense in having him play in the latter two lines when we have like 15 forwards signed to one-way deals, and no point in sending him to Abbotsford when we can develop younger tallent with a chance of making a difference in the future down there.

I thought he played well. He's a difference maker, thought they still could've held onto him. But you would know more than me, I'm still stunned we sent Kadri back to the OHL

Still on my nights schedule. Do I go another hockey season without DVR and Center Ice or do I make the commitment? It would be nice to see more than a handful of Wings games this year.

    I'm wavering...

Gotta ask yourself, can the Wings make it to the finals 3 years in a row?

I'm thinking Calgary or San Jose storm through the playoffs.

I'd have to agree. Calgary and San Jose have been GIANT playoff dissapointers since the lockout. Of course I hope this is the year Calgary can make it back!

The stupid TSN power rankings have the Flames at 17th overall before the season starts. Pissed me off so much. Best defense in the league, new defensive coach, new defensive system, it's gonna make Kipper so much better. And we've got more talent up front than we have had in previous years (with the acception maybe of last year with Camm) and they don;t have us making the payoff, what a joke.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR PUCK DROP TOMORROW!!!

Oh yeah? Our Toronto analysts had you guys at top 3; top 3 in the West. Your defence will stop San Jose, maybe the only defence in the league that will, but will your forwards be able to get by San Jose defenders? If Iginla returns to that form (one man army) which took his team to the cup finals, then nothing can stop the Flames.

We're getting alot of buzz about the Capitals because they got Knuble lol Washington lost so many guys especially Federov, and they didn't make any trades to bring in more talent, so I don't see them doing as good as everyone is predicting. Philli and Boston is the class in the east, clearly.

I agree with you about the Caps, overrated. What about the Pens in the East, would they not be favored before the Bruins and Flyers?

Speaking as a Canes fan, I don't see how you can say the Caps are overrated. They play in the Southeast and in the Southeast only two teams even attempt to win, the Caps and the Canes. The Caps got Ovechkin and a decent supporting cast helping him and that there makes them good favorites to take the division, although I don't think they'll be making the Prince of Wales Finals or anything.

Just what Mobbme said, how did they get better from last season? I'm not saying they will fall off the map, but I think the Bruins, Flyers, and Penguins will all be ahead of them at the end of the day.
