Both teams play a very open style, especially after game 1 so I'm guessing it will be a blowout from period 1. I hope its like that 6-5, but we'll just have to wait and see )

Stupid little score ticker almost gave me a heart attack. Down 1-0, it lists Helm as taking a shot on goal, and the Pens score goes to 2! 30 seconds later it corrected.

C'mon guys, find the back of the net - you know where it is.

Wow, how did Fleury make that save. If Lidstrom had faked that shot in the final seconds........

Congrats to the Penguins, glad Malkin got the MVP.

    Sucks to be Hossa, again.

See ya guys, I didn't get a chance to drink earlier, going to go out and get some heinekens in me, cheers!

    Hossa Loses!!! Hossa Loses!!!

I missed the first 57 min of the action due to work

It sounded like a classic with Talbot scoring both goals for the Pens and Fleury bouncing back from a 5-0 drubbing last week at the Joe.

    Where would Hossa go? )

It was a great game. Hell, the Wings almost scored with 1 second left if not for a miraculous stop by Fleury. Looks real good on Hossa. I thought he was going to start balling during his interview.Sadly, now we have to wait a whole 90 odd days until the first preseason games.)

    Let the comparisons begin now,

are these Penguins like the 80's Oilers? LOL

    What does Hossa do now?

How do we live without hockey for the next 3 months?

    Why was Pronger traded?

More reasons to be angry, eh Dale

Group of veteran Red Wings miffed over Crosby handshake 'snub'

    Story Highlights
Captain Nick Lidstrom was upset at how long it took Crosby to shake hands
The 21-year-old Crosby is the youngest-ever captain of a Stanley Cup winner
DETROIT (AP) -- The Red Wings can accept that Pittsburgh is the Stanley Cup champion. Getting snubbed by Sidney Crosby is another matter.

After watching Pittsburgh hoist the Cup on Detroit's ice, the Red Wings lined up to shake hands with the Penguins as is custom in the NHL playoffs.

Detroit captain Nicklas Lidstrom was up front, followed by alternate captain Kris Draper, congratulating many of the new champions while waiting for Pittsburgh's captain.

"Nick was waiting and waiting, and Crosby didn't come over to shake his hand," Draper told an Associated Press reporter a couple hours later as he was leaving Joe Louis Arena. "That's ridiculous, especially as their captain, and make sure you write that I said that!"

Crosby eventually skated over to shake hands with the Red Wings, but many had already headed for the dressing room. Detroit forward Johan Franzen and Crosby exchanged words and Crosby then shook hands with goaltender Chris Osgood and some other Detroit players.
I remember this, stupid kid was still celebrating on the sidelines with a few other players talking to media ppl and fans/family

It's not so much that the Wings lost, but that punk Crosby won. Bleah.

Come on you guys, lighten up on the kid. He,s young and just won the mug of mugs. So excited he simply forgot.Hell, some of the players almost missed the coveted "group picture" with the mug because of interviews, family hugs, ect, ect. Sour grapes from Detroit players who assumed they would have their names on the mug again.

Pronger was traded on draft day for the player he was originally traded for: Joffrey Lupul.

Ducks also get Sbisa. Supposedly he is very talented and is only 19.

In addition, Ducks get $2 million in cap space to work with.

I hate to see Pronger go. I thought he was their best player during the playoffs.
