I will cheer for the Pens tomorrow night just to see Hossa miss the cup.

And yeah, I hate mentioning the refereeing but the penalty against Z for getting shoved into the damned net was frikkin' ridiculous. He even did everything he could after the shove to avoid him. But whatever.

That's the exact penalty I was referring to )

If you think about it, Hossa is a nobody in the NHL. He's not Canadian, American, Swedish, or even Russian; fans don't really care about the guy, he has no loyal fans because he's jumped ship so many times. The NHL would get a better pay off if Cindy wins then they have Staal and Malkin to help market merchandise. If Detroit wins, it'll just be a repeat.

Refs will be up Detroit's a$$ game 7, guaranteed. But good luck to Detroit.

I always thought Hossa should have stayed with the Pens. That way it would look like he did more to win it, instead of jumping to the winner's bandwagon.

Yeah, but if he did, would they have got to the finals again? Remember, they lost a few players other than Hossa.

If Red Wings lose, I don't see Hossa getting a big contract offer the one the pens put up for him last year.

My Pens guy is Fedetenko, watch out for him.

I don't really care about Hossa. He reminds me of a Lang - someone acquired as a big shooter. I liked what I saw from him in the Chicago series though. If he stays a Red Wing, great. If he doesn't and they move up a Helm or someone full-time, even better.

Oh man, the Stars picked Crawford? I don't like that guy. I'd love to see them in the finals next year so we can whip his ass again.

No way they could afford Hossa to a long term. He will never sign for 2 mill a year. If Detroit wins he'll get around 5-7 mill anywhere else.

I think they had a choice between Franzen or Hossa, and they made it clear Franzen would be staying (with that contract extension a month or two ago that he signed with Detroit)

I hate the whole Dallas organization. Bunch of guys with their noses too high with nothing to show for.

Game 7, here we go. I'm all psyched up.

Dale, game 7 will crown a winner, you have it off or you working?

As much as I hate to admit it, the Redwings will probably blow the Pens off the ice. This is the Wings last year of play-off contention for a few years as the old boys start to retire. The Pens still need a reliable goalie and then they will be ready to hoist Lord Stanley's mug. Tonight's game will be all hype i,m afraid, but could you imagine a overtime win for one of these teams. Since the ratings for this series is the lowest since these events were monitored it sure would help sell the game. Gotta get rid of Bettman,he,s killing this league.

    Welcome back Exarecr,

you're coming back is just in time!!! The final game for the NHL season is tonight... so where have ya been??

Hmmm, It is in Detroit and the Pens have no answer for the matchups Detroit throws at them. Picking Detroit is the wise decision, but I will say Fedetenko lights it up tonight and the Pens steal the victory away from Hossa and the wings.

    Glad to hear.

Oh yeah, Detroit is forreal. This game 7 is going to be decided by the first period, I have a feeling. So whoever is up by 4 after the 1st, it'll stay that way, then it'll just be anticipation for the winning team until the clock runs out

Up by 4 after the 1st period !!! That would make for a horrid 2 period wait for the inevitable. Id like to see one of those 6-5 games that is tied with 2 minutes left leading up to a period of over-time.

Working. :( I rolled the dice and bet on a game 6 closer, and while I thought it was a really fun game to watch, obviously I didn't get my win. Tonight I'll be stuck with watching the nhl.com box score updater and reading some schmoe's liveblog of the game. I'll watch highlights when I get home. Hopefully those highlights will include a bunch of red jerseys skating around the Joe with the Cup in hand.
