Post Improving the quality of discussion in the Asian Forum at WAB

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Sadly the Asian forum of WAB has become a huge ***** fest. People of various nationalities are just pushing their agenda against enemical entities. But that isn't what this forum was meant for.

The constant flaming, trolling (and as highsea right put it) "India-Pakistan ***** Fest" that is going on here is a disgrace, not to others but for ourselves. We are all proud, respectful, educated persons. Should we not give a better example of our intellect?

Some would counter this by saying freedom of speech. I agree. But such meaningless hate ramblings is the reason why authorities would want to curtail this freedom. Remember freedom of speech comes with responsibility!

Hence I petition for the following:

-> No hate topics. We can discuss news, but then we should not promote any hidden agenda.

-> No flaming, no trolling, no baiting. Neither of these give a good display of the posters intellect. Let's calm down and discuss like gentlemen.

-> When posting News item topics, please quote only reputable sources. And please do not edit the headline in the topic title into anything controversial.

-> No silly one-liner smart ass replies. Our brains can come up with more can't it?

-> Respect others and respect yourself. Whenever you insult someone over the forum, you are disrespecting yourself more than disrespecting the other person. Refrain.

-> Not to start bait topics, flame topics and/or hate topics. Most of us are mature adults and we have better things to do than useless postering.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Just think about it. This forum has an international audience, and whenever a person from whichever corner of the globe visits the Asia forum, he/she see's Indians and Pakistanis bickering like 4 year old kids. How proud do you feel now?

And this thread is bound to get replies such as "they always start it". So what? Does that oblige you to degrade yourself and follow suit?

Let's stay calm and make meaningful posts.
Cheers! Have a nice sunday!

This has been tried before. I'm in agreement, but I'm doubtful it'll work. WABs been turned into an agenda tool.

I wonder if it will work, but there is no doubt that it has become more civilised with the occasional odd fish who gets vitriolic not because he believes in what he is posting, but because he can't find a cure for his chronic dispepsia and has to let the gas loose!

He fails to realise that he has spread noxious and nostril offending fumes that ruins the atmosphere of the forum.

I certainly hope it will work. I have raised this question earlier, mentioning that I left PDF becoz of this Indo-pak *****!

I suggest that if there is a Webmaster, he should interfere; Set up clear rules and regulations and remove Posts with hidden agenda, insults, useless info or tempered headliners or even members if needed!!!

Haha I recently upped the ante a little and everyone's going crazy. Pakistanis just kept on negotiating, reasoning and defending here on WAB. I'm an aggressive person, but for the better part of my time here, I've changed myself in hope for some reconcilliation. There are like a million threads opening up about why Pakistan is so bad. Its all used to further agendas.

But quite frankly I believe the Admins have encouaraged this attitude. There's a lot of emphasis on racial slurs, curse words, etc, being all bad. But zero emphasis on people being nice to each other. Every little Pakistan thread is opened to insult Pakistanis. Then when one guy says "Puke-is-Tani" everyone panics. Does that one word actually do anything to us Pakistanis? What do you expect? When no one's nice to each other, its going to definitely lead to disciplinary problems. News flash, bad people do that.

Pakistanis have just been retaliating here for long. I was questioned for saying "w00t" when an officer died. Sure I agree, I was really being an a-hole. It was just an experiment to prove all these points, did I really mean it? I don't even support the Kashmiri militancy, infiltration or homegrown, doesn't matter. Where was the questioning when someone puts a crashing PAF plane gif file, in their sig? Everything just seems calm when there's just one side being difficult. Recently things been crazy just because we (or I) had, had it. Like many proud people in most parts of the world, I'm not too fond of the white flag.

Asim, If you have a reasonable good enoughmemory , you would remember that Sher-e-punjab who initially had an Indian Flag on fire as his avatar and when I protested , you responded saying , its not a big issue and that even if someone had a Pak flag on fire as his avatar , you wouldnt mind so much. You acted so cool and confident then.
Every thread opened by sher-e-punjab and Aryan spewed Venom on India and you gladly participated. Now you act like a victim when someone has a Paf plane on fire as their sig and when someone opens a thread that shows Pak in badlight.

But one thing for sure, inentionally or unintentionally i havent seen any member of WAB making fun of govt soldiers getting killed.Whether it may be in iraq, chechnya, baluchistan or kashmir but even that decency was broken.

True, and that is really sad. But that comment degrades the poster and the poster's background more than the anticipated target of his/her flames.

Kashmiris are held in high regard, amongst Pakistanis. Hence the flame bait was reciprocated. You all just took it, all too easy. You drew first blood, not me.

Indeed Kashmiris are held in high regards.

Great fun they are having in Gilgit and the Northern Territories.

That's why Mush has mentioned three Kashmiris of India as the head honchos.

That's why Amanullah Khan cried blue murder during the so called election...

and the regards for Kasmiris go on in Pakistan!!!!!!!!!
