50,000 Afghans vs. 5,000,000 Rajputs?

Aren't these the same Afghanis which had trouble at Saraghari? That too, 10,000 Afghanis had trouble capturing a post held by 21 Sikhs! So 50,000 Afghanis taking on 5 million Rajputs sounds very fictional to me.
