captured weapons

.................................................. .....

Here is some info about the LTTE stealth boats that have been used for covert insertions/extractions and attacks on the srilankan navy with deadly effect.the below article is from "jane's" with exclusive video of the boats being tested

a video of tiger stealth boats
the video is from the janes defence weekly
some of those boats looks like a copy of the F117!
and sit very low on the water. during a recent clash with the srilankan navy, one of those stealth boats were recorded to be doing 50 knots!.

Looks like a pretty nasty firefight between the Tamil Tigers and Sri Lankin Navy.
One point that struck me was he fact that if two Dvora FACs were sunk with light 'free mount' cannon and MG fire(and a third damaged), it sort of further reinforces my assertion that existing USN close in defense systems are completely adequate to this mission.

At any rate, glad i wasn't there. I am highly allergic to light cannon and MG fire...

I saw a guy with an 84mm Carl Gustav, in the video. During the Falklands war the Brit Paras used 84mm CGs to scuttle an Argentinian naval ship. But it looks like more that light cannons were used.

The official SL news agencies claim sinking 12 LTTE boats.

lol the officenl sl navy claims to have killed 12-25 boats on every encounter! if u count the last 5 naval battles only, according to the Sl navy reports the LTTE must have lost about 150 boats.!! lol an if u count the entire year thigie, then according to the sl navy the LTTE muct have lost 450 boats.

the numbers speak for themselves.
LOL!
are the ltte making that many boats out of thin air?lol! or maybe these ltte boats are multiplying like dickens!
its a known fact that the Sl military just manufactures numbers out of thin air. rem the last battle in which about 150 soldiers were killed and 600 wounded? the gov said they lost only 20 till the ltte turned over the bodies of the rest.

the ltte said that it did not lose any boats but lost 5 sea tigers, and the fact that they got weapons from a dvora ship would mean that the navy did retreat as the tigers claimed and eyewitnesses reported
