India has 2 types of Sukhois the Su-30K and the Su-30MKI. The Su-30K are just Su-27UBKs with IFR and a new name. The Su-30Ks are going to be upgraded to the Su-30MKI model.

The Su-30MKIs are the ones with TVC, N-011M BARS radar, canards and PGMs (Kh-59ME, Kh-31P, Kh-29L/T, KAB-1500, KAB-500).

Only the Su-30Ks had problems which has now been resolved.

They were not covert operations. They were carrying movement orders and paybooks. They had diaries giving details. I saw it.

Therefore, say what you want, as a soldier, I don't like it one bit, that Pakistan did not recognise their dead. Damn the results of the conflict, but to abandon the brave dead is a shame.

In India, if you read the books written by military men on Kargil, the valour of Pakistanis have not been forgotten. Some fought very well and I also salute them. Therefore, if Pakistan does not record their death it is a shame.

Because the Indian Army appreciated the action of one officer and gave it to the Indian Press, the officer won the highest award.

Likewise in 1971, Lt Col Airey at Shakargarh gave a citation for the CO of Pakistan Army to be handed over to the Pakistani General, whihc commended the counter attack of the CO whre he died. He got the highest Pakistani gallanty award.

We may have been enemy, but we also know to honour gallantry even if it is of the enemy! But when someone does not recognise their gallant dead, it rankles, even if theya re the enemy.
