lol, the article is a fake... look at the Headline: Pakistan may buy US, Chinese and Soviet planes

Soviet Planes???????????????????????????????????????????? ? Pakistan's thinkin of askin the Soviets now... lol, the Soviets might still consider this deal, dunt know about the Russians though....

many a pakistani millitary websites are filled with "soviet planes ............ a piece of crap............" and what not.
now they are looking for soviet planes, what happened your master US put you on diet or what?

Hey if India turns down the Mig-33 to Russia and goes for the F-16/F-18 combo, we'd have some serious grounds to make headway into the Russian market.

Russia doesn't sell to Pakistan since India would stop buying from them. But if India stops buying from them anyway... Then what?

wetdreams i would say asim, wetdreams. even if INDIA goes for F18, we have more than 10billion dollars worth of arms and ammunition deals worth of contracts going on. btw you must have heard this saying that one wouldnot kill a goat for 50Grams of meat.

asim what is this mig33 ???? is it mig 35 when you guys are goning for jf-17.j-10,f-16 will there be room for larger russian fleet a small fleet of 40-60 will not help the russia where 75% of the planes in iaf are of russians origin ,your are forgetting that even when india got mirage 2000,sea harriers ,jaguar ,doniers and helicopter from europe pak didnot get any that time what do you think now it will happen

FYI, India is working with various ongoing def project with russians totally to 10+ Billion.

MRCA is not reflected in that amt. MRCA in itself will be anywhere between 4-5 Billion if Mig 35 is selected to 7-8 Billion if other western AC is selected. So the relations between India & Russia isnt gonna affect much if US or Euro ACs get selected.

i donot understand why pakistanis think that we will ditch russia and go for us weapons i had seen interview of the iaf air chief tyagi saying that it will be nightmare to operate us planes (f16,f18) since thier operational level will be completly different when words come from such a higher officaals russians will be happy to hear it
