Get one! SCAR's probably my favorite rifle. If you get it tell us how it shoots!

That's a big 10-4! When I contacted FN they said latter part of this year is when they come out, It is also when the C-mags for the FN FAL and the M1A are supposed to come out, hope I get back one overtime soon, looks like this will be an expensive year.

I voted "other" because I agree with the gentleman who said "love the one you're with". I love my Sako TRG-22. With Federal 168gr match ammo, I can get .25 moa groups out to 300 yds consistently (on a good day, using the excellent bipod, prone position). As a subtopic, what scopes are you folks using on your long range tactical rifles?

It really depends really.

If I was going into Fallujah as a DM I would want a M21
If I was trying to rescue a hostage from a terrorist I would want a PSG-1
If I was conducting a assassianation I would want a M24
If I was going after the lightly armored vehicles I would want a M82

There is simply no such thing as "best" when it comes to small arms.

The Romanian Army uses a version of the SVD Dragunov, called PSL.
Uses 7N ammunition. They say it works up to ~1000yards.I'd like to put my hands on one of those.

All those are 7.62x51. What the hell is the difference? And why would you want to shoot your hostage? M21,good choice, but I'm biased towards it because I used it. PSG-1.... M24-I'm not an assasin. M82-long range interdiction-regardless of target.

Vai de mine...

No, I don't know how to write Romanian. A venerable old poster tore that 1000yd nonsense apart earlier.

I am guessing that you meant to say M82A1 or M82A3?

The double-globe muzzle brake on the M82 made it a little ammo sensitive.
