    Best SMG?

I need opinions here. What do you guys think is the best SMG in the world?
These are what I gather to be the best SMG's, but if you have something better that I don't know about, please bring it up to subject.

    P-90C 5.7mm: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg13-e.htm

    Uzi 9mm: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg17-e.htm

    MP-5 9mm: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg14-e.htm

    UMP.45: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg16-e.htm

    Mac-11 .380: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg22-e.htm

    TMP 9mm: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg11-e.htm

(Neither of these can match an MP-5, but I thought they would be nice to post up. They're basically the little SMG brothers of the AK-47 and M-16.)

    PP-19 9mm: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg08-e.htm

    Colt mod. 635: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg35-e.htm

I think the MP-5 is probably the best, but the FN-P90 surely gets the award for the coolest-looking SMG.

P90 is far better than the mp5 IMO.
It is more accurate, fires better ammo(against a well-equipped enemy), is smaller, and can carry more ammo. And yes, it is by far the best-looking SMG.

    P90 rocks.

Voted for the MP5. In the "category" best-looking: MP5, too.

Well, I guess looks matter with a gun and everyone has their own opinion of what looks best. I, personally, love the way the Mac-11 looks. It's like the gun itself is screaming "he's a thug/gangsta!"

It's a shoebox with a handle. No style at all. Might as well beat someone with a club.

lol. I guess I just have weird taste. As far as a good compact SMG pistol goes the Mac-11 is an awesome weapon, but it's only accurate when shouldered by folding stock and silencer mounted on. However, if you need to shoulder an SMG the MP-5 is what I here to be the most comfortable. Not sure really.

Why the MAC in .380? 9mm is the way to go!!!!

For those 1911 diehards go with .45.

The Mac-10/11, UZI, and Colt Model 635 you can toss in the trash and then choose any of the other excellent models. The UZI fires from an open bolt, has a screwy selector switch, and has a hard time handlign anything but ball ammo. The Mac-10 also fires from an open bolt, has not stock work mentioning, and terribel sights. Ergonomically the Colt 635 is a good gun, it is probably pretty reliable if
kept clean, and has better sights than many others - however it is no go because of the magazaines which (unless some improved version has been made) makes the gun a jammatic.

UMP is definitely a good gun; not quite as good as the MP5, but the price makes-up for it.

Question: Does the mp5's roller-delayed blowback system work like the G3?

From what I have read yes the MP5 is just a scaled down G3.

It pretty much is. However, as SMG's go the MP-5 has the best trigger pull and sights I've experienced.

unlike the colt Model 635 and Styr AUG para when HK designed the MP5 they did not just convert the G3 they refined it in to a SMG. reworking the components and structure so that it was made for 9mm or the no longer made 10mm /.40SW where the Colt 635 is a gutted M16 and the AUG Para a drop in kit, the MP5 is a work of art.
