WTF, can't say s*******? Are you serious? Is this site being run someplace outside of the U.S.? Sure hope I haven't shot myself in the foot.

Just wondering if anyone on this board shoots in matches. In the past I have shot handguns (Silhouettes, Indoor target) and shotguns (trap and skeet), and am presently involved with shooting in F Class Competition (shooting highpower rifles at 1,000 yards from the prone position). Would like to hear from some fellow s*******.

its probably the '*******' bit the system doesn't like. this is a serious place full of serious people, not somewhere appropriate to think about beautiful firm, taught young women with full tee-shirts, long, slender and toned legs and peaches you could bounce coins off.
which is why i'm leaving!

Hmmm, will have to try to defeat the software. Phonetically speaking, the word that is getting censored is "shooturs".
Don
but i wrote 'hooturs' except that i can spell, obviously...

I shot trap and SC for several years, and smallbore bullseye, both indoor and outdoor. I never got really competitive in SC, because I didn't have the right gun, but I did well in trap and bullseye.

I've never been into competitive shooting, but i did go out for all the Bn competitions we had, which always involved either the M-16 or M-14.
Fun, and a good way to get out of a day of motor pool duties.![]()
My oldest son and I shoot steel plate and I sometimes do CMP shoots. My local club has a military rifle and CMP practices monthly. The military rifle is usually done at 200 and CMP at 600. This month is a match month for about everything. Paul Bunyan June calendar of events. I keep kidding my son that I am going to use my M-11 9mm for the open class gun in steel plate, just got to figure how to mount a red dot on it.

shooting(competitive or pleasure) is more fun and relaxing than many things.Originally Posted by M21Sniper
Close to my home there is a full auto competition than is run twice a year. Those older military retirees in their 60's, using older rifles, can still shoot the pants off the younger guys with the newer weapons. It is fun to watch.
I used to shoot trap (non competitively, but with others); I've only done about 6 rounds, but my average score is 18 and my best is 22. But then I moved to PA, and I can blow up all the boxes I want
P.S. I just taped myself shooting off my 12 guage, so if any of you want to see, just ask. I still have to convert it to a smaller size, though.
No stalking please, although I do trust all of you here by now.

I see that you're from Philly. I live about 30 miles north of Elmira, NY (upstate near the Pennsy border) and travel about 2 hours south down to Bodines, PA (just north of Williamsport) to shoot F Class at the 1,000 yard range there. If you are ever inclined to shoot at 5/8 mile for kicks and giggles, let me know and I will meet you there and provide you with a suitable rifle.

Sure, we'll have to make a date sometime. Of course, it's been 15 years since i shot ANY weapon at a range greater than a hundred meters, so you best not make fun...cause i am still a deadly pistol shot.
It would be interesting to see what skills i've retained though. I'm guessing not much initially, but i think that after several range sessions i'd do much better. LR shooting is definitely a highly-perishible skill. What kind of rifle can you provide bro?
Huh, that's not too far from where I shoot deer every thanksgiving. I hunt up right near Galeton (Potter 6 region, if you know where that is)
I've hunted in Potter county a few times. Good brush hunting, like the rest of the region, lol.
