    Question About Bianchi Holsters

Hello all, been a while since I've been here. My question is regarding a holster for my full frame Sig Sauer P229 9mm. The Bianchi website lists the size for their 105 holster for this gun as 13/15. Is anyone here familiar with Bianchi holsters, and do you know if this is a single size (all the other sizes are single numbers, not in this format), just sizes 13 or 15, or a range of sizes ( size 13 through 15)?

I found a good deal on a size 14 online, but a good deal still sucks if it isn't the proper equipment

Buy the one they tell you to buy. A tan Model 105 for a P229 is part number 19254. A black one is part number 19502. (assuming right hand)

Buy one of those. They're molded to the gun. Nothing else will fit.

    Bianchis are great rigs.

edit to add: I looked a little closer- these don't appear to be molded to the specific gun. The same part number fits a B92, a Smith, a Glock, and some other full frames. Yuck.

I hate generic holsters. Check out the Galco FL250. I have one of this model for my P226, it's perfect.

I carried a Ruger Speed Six in a Bianchi leather shoulder-holster for many years and it was the most comfortable concealed rig I've ever owned. Just sayin...

If possible - go to a gun shop and try them on - a personal fit is a very good thing - you can try several until you get one that feels right on you and holds your gun securely.

I agree. I had bianchi shoulder rigs for a 92 Beretta and a M19 smith. Both were excellent.

I have a miami classic rig for my 226, the bianchi was more comfortable. The fletch hi-rise is a really good fit for my 226 though. It holds it very secure and tight to the body, so a untucked shirt hides it pretty well.

Whisky is right, it's best to be able to try them out. I've had a bunch of the generics like the Uncle Mikes, always found them fine for at the range or out in the woods, but lousy for concealed carry.

And if it's a just quick trip to the store or something like that, I'll tuck a .380 inside the waistband, small of the back. That worked better for my PPK than it does for my M84 though. Fat grip.

Oooh good idea. But I will never get elected. I actually have a principle and somewhat of a moral code.

    Just lie.
It might be hard at first, but it will get easier the longer you stay in office.

    highsea,
I have been pondering the Galco jackass rig. Does Bianchi make anything better? I can't find anything in stock at the local gun shops. This low inventory economy has been pissing me off for sometime now but I would rather not buy one before trying it on.

The Bianchi shoulder rig I had for my M19 was identical to the Galco Jackass. I don't know what they called it though, or if they are even still making it.

You might give Ted Blocker a call. He's in Tigard, and can make you exactly what you want, and it will fit you perfectly. You might need to give him your gun for a little while so he can mold the holster if he doesn't have a pattern for your gun.

I ordered my Galco leather from Optics Planet, it was priced right and I had it at my shop in just a few days. I bought the Miami Classic because I wanted offside mag pouches, but I am thinking about ordering a Jackass for my Sig too.

I wouldn't cry if Galco changed the name. Seeing as my 229 is a plain Jane variety Ted Blocker should have something in stock. I'm going to have to swing by sometime this summer and take a look as his offering is very similar to Galco.

No one runs on that platform anymore. Just find a niche and be a write in. Form the "sun tea" party or something along that vain. Once you get to Sacramento the ones there will learn you on how to be a bad apple. You have to stop actually hearing the words that come out of your mouth. If you can do that the rest is easy.

Went to Cabelas in Springfield today. They screwed Eugene springfield like REI did a while back. The store is only about 1/2 as big as it needs to be and it was packed. Holster selection is spotty. Given the choice I would rather run up to Lacy.
