lol, let's just call them charlie or NVA.
I have a couple of questions. What kind of eyesight do you need to be a sniper in any part of the U.S. military branch, and can snipers wear glasses?

I don't think that snipers can wear glasses; you'd need REALLY good vision to spot some of the thing snipers do in training; Snipe has 20-10 vision; I have 20-16/15 vision.

Why are you so entirely offended? Maybe it's my lack of extremel deragatory words...

    How about this?

Would calling somebody a gook be any different from calling a German a Kraut, a Russian an Ivan, or an American a Yankee?

I'm not going to say another word, as I've seen too many pointless flame-wars on message boards like the one that's brewing now.

I am an Russian-American and I am not offended by being called a Ivan or a Yankee. Actually I think I would be offended a little bit for being called a Yankee because I hate that baseball team. SEATTLE MARINERS FAN FOR LIFE

Wouldn't looking through the sniper scope make my vision a lot better? I would need glasses or excellent vision then, would I?

Leibstandarte, there is a big difference. Kind of like referring to black person as a ni**er, a Jew as a kike or a Mexican as a spic.
No comparison to Yankee or Ivan.

Now maybe you want to say something to the "great" person who uses racist terms to describe a member of the North Vietnamese Army during a rumored event of the 2nd Indochina War.

Snipers are handpicked from their parent units, you have to be selected to go to the school. I really have no idea if there are actual army regs on the subject of a snipers minimum eyesight, but i can tell you that if you don't have at least 20/25 correctable(i have 20/10), you're not going to pass the course, nor are you likely to even be selected to begin with.

Honestly, i can't say i've ever seen a sniper with glasses. That would be like seeing a fighter pilot with glasses, and you don't see those either.

Okay, look, I'm sorry for so deeply offending you. I'll try not to do it again, but please don't get so offended and worked up over something so trivial.

Couldn't the sniper scope work as glasses? I don't see the problem, I would just magnify the place I want to see and I would have the same vision as people who don't need glasses, I mean I can see humans and cars okay, I just have a hard time with words and I wouldn't need to shoot words, would I?

Actually, it helps, but not much. I have to use my glasses in conjunction with the scope to get a good picture.
