Not a human ship, alien? Star Trek? I don't think OFP has that.
    Here's some screenshots

as a gamer and designer, I bought OFP on the recommendation of a gaming squad that I'm with...and after playing I quickly realized that aside from game play...it sucks. I've seen better graphics in a dozen other games. The game play is decent...Black Hawk Down is much better when it comes to game play. The AI is 10 times better, and the graphics are 1000% better.

AA is an awesome game with excellent logic and mechanics. Most definately worth the free download and even more so b/c it's the full version. Plus the graphics are stellar for this type of game.

I would honestly suggest to anyone that they pick up Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, or BF Vietnam for a good all around FPS.
If you like RTS..Iwould suggest Sudden Strike I or II....loads of fun, and countless solutions to each scenario.

OFP's gameplay and AA's gameplay are not in the same category

Someone I have talked to on IRC told me this

OFP's gameplay and AA's gameplay are not in the same category
well, it sounds like OFP is too complicated for whoever posted that on a forum

2 Terran empire: I havent seen that before, but the KLingon ship might be a hand-made addon

there are so many addons, that it's really hard to imagine... For example, I saw an addon, where all units and hardware were made of Lego pieces looked weird!

2 illusha: in Europe U can buy the GOTY edition for 10 Euros

    2 sniperdude411:
    > OPF's graphics AREN'T as good as AA

I'm not sure about the levels' sizes in AA, but in the OFP it's 50 km *50 km = 2500 sq. km. I'm not sure, if it's correct to compare game's graphics in this case

    >but some shapes are incorrect (check-out the rear end of the RPG)
    1st: the end is correct: it's not a good ol' RPG-7, its a chech-made Rpg-Nh75
2nd: the responsibility for the authencity of the original in-game units and hardware lyes on the BIS developers. They did a lot of strange things but those were corrected by addon-makers

    >The land textures are poor, also
eh? they look nice, if U use the multi-texturing and have the correct config

    >Also, the characters are not as well as developed
that might be true, but if U consider for example a big clash of 20 tanks, 20 APCs and more that 50 soldiers, than this problem dissappears in a sec: U simply dont have time to count the polygons

    2 TexasOutlaw:
I understand that there are diff. opinions and to avoid the further flaming will say the following:
I've been playing the BHD for several days and then after completion, removed it. No feelings left, it's a game to fill up several long winter evenings.
From the other side, I've been playing the OFP for almost 5 years since it's introduction, and I don't wanna stop. At least, till the OFP2
It's clear, that other games have better graphics, because they are newer, but none of then has that kind of gameplay and it's complexity.

I saw that those VBS1 screenshots and they look really. I went to their forum and a lot of people were praising VSB1 as a great game. It's too bad that it costs a lot

    You're right:
AA and OPF are completely different games. For the price, AA is an absolutely amazing game; textures are amazing, and it runs great on older computers.

Call of Duty has great levels and maps (Stalingrad is the best level I have ever played in my life), the guns are pretty cool, but it's kinda short and the end levels are just too hard and beginning levels are too easy.
Other than that, all games are great.
As long as they're fun for a long time, games are good for me.

And if you haven't, then you should definitely play it (download it, or get it on cd from your local recruiting office; it's free both ways).
Yeah. I used to play it back in 02-04. Haven't since then.
