    Wish List

If you could have any weapon you wanted, what would your dream weapon be? (Since this could get ridiculous, i.e., nukes, etc., why don't we limit it to infantry organic weapons and/or rifles/MPs/MGs/Grenade launchers.)

My wish list is pretty long. The weapon I really have my eye on is this one, the AIAW in 338 Lapua and 308 Winchester

    And Barrett's 98B, also 338 Lapua

Good idea for a thread, I think I would like to be able to own unlimited handguns, of all calibres and types, which the gun laws here in Germany won't allow me to do:(.

I have owned or currently own what I always wanted. The Accuracy international made my heart beat a little faster though.

FN-FAL mint barrel and reciever, customized trigger, with a good aftermarket skeleton stock non-folding, low mount low light scope and a forgrip activated red-dot laser mounted either in the foregrip or on the bayonet lug. (wish list for fun awesome practile gun)

M-1 springfield armoury first run garand with a nice wood pattern, matching numbers, never issued, would like to have peiod correct sling and bayonet. (this'll never happen but wow could I get some cash for it)

    Same with a 1903.

    Same with a SMLE

Would like a nice historical mauser as well.

An artillery luger with detatchable shoulder stock. (who's idea was that oddity)

and a colt 1911 presentation weapon with engravery from around the early teens.

The government will probably never release them, but these still exist, unissued. There is a tiny chance you could get one as a Title X rifle (for state/local governments, sometimes museums).

Granite I won't disagree that the US government still has a fair number (somewhere between 5 an 10 thousand) of the guns. It probably may even have a couple of hundred unissued with matching serial numbers. I doubt it has many of the guns left from runs in the 30's that weren't issued and if so I strongly doubt it knows where they are. In the early days of WW2 the US military was extremely short on rifles, restarting the production of the 1903 and issuing them as well as the Johnson rifle and others, during this time allmost all early run rifles would have been issued somewhere. I'm not going to say that there aren't any but there surely weren't very many at all. The later runs during the war by various manufacturers and those that were made in the 60's I certainly believe there are quite a few unissued examples of but more than a handful of unissed guns from the late 30's and early 40's I find extremely unlikely.

I was planning on getting one of thesehttp://www.waffen-centrale.de/epages...ader/LuxDefTec, until I got the results of the MRT scan they did last week, my right shoulder is kapput, from the accident at work in 2006, so that will not be happening now, I nearly cry from the pain of shooting my K98, so that's history, and the FR8 has to go too.

But I have seen and heard a lot about the Sig 522 recently on the web, and think it would compliment my 10/22 and the GSG5 rather nicely).

    Hey Cad where you been?

My right shoulder has Labrum Glenoidale, degenerative changes AC joint with impingement on the supra and infraspinatus?, which in layman's terms permanent discomfort, and pain, loss of motoric and pins and needles almost constantly, and boy when I shoot large bore rifle's I could howl.

I don't think a ***** pad will help me much, surgery and therapy might..

Been out of town, back for a bit then maybe Oklahoma, or SRS. Who knows.

Time to get used to to shooting lefty? You can switch dominant eye, or at least confuse the heck out of it.

Hope you can get it straightened out

There are some variants of this that are fancier but this thing can make your big bore kick less than a red ryder.
