What a fun bit of kit! ( I also like French inter-war bombers as they are so spectacularly ugly and not very practical). The uniform does not appear typically Gallic though.

I hate to be negative without having a complete story but the figure 3 psuedo pistol configuration seems stupid.
The uniform looks like a post Great War model. You have to admit the fold out arm support is unique. A unique if not practical solution to stabilising the weapon while firing. If nothing else the designer has a fertile imagination!
