    Unusual Guns

    auto revolver.
webley-fosbery produced a limited number of auto revolvers, starting in 1901, recoil energy was used, to move the hammer, turn cylinder. there were 2 models .455 6 rounds, and .38 8 rounds.
this cross of revolver with auto pistol, made the weapon more complicated than, either one alone. wasn't produced by large numbers.

    small smg

this MGD smg was designed in france, but made in germany by Erma. very unusual mechanics, main spring was flat coil, just like in a clock, folding stock and magazine made it very compact, chambered for 9mm luger, had a very limited run.

The barrel nut and magazine are definitely MP40.

Better known as the Semmerling, from American Derringer.

There is another semi-automatic revolver that was in production until quite recently, the Mateba.

Another unusual gun is the knife from G.R.A.D. that has a 5-shot .22 rimfire revolver hidden in the handle.

(sorry, I don't have pix of these).

I believe it was during WWII, The Aussies converted an Enfield bolt action to full auto, and the Americans converted a Winchester ever action to full auto. Talk about ugly weapons!!!! Saw them a long time ago in my American Rifleman magazines....

not different from a single action revolver, load it, co ck the hammer, and pull the trigger, reco ck and turning of the cylinder, is done by recoil.
or just push the barrel against any surfice, that will co ck and turn the cylinder.

I haven't heard the "pushing on the barrel" trick. The correct way was to pull back on the tab/protrusion just below the hammer like how you would pull on the slide of an auto pistol.

I have to agree, this is one funky design that's too complicated for its own good.
