    Random Thread- Firearms

Thought I'd create one for this section too.

I never knew that Lugers were designed for +P or +P+ ammunition.

If you want to de-****, shouldn't you talk to Lorena Bobbit?

    I love Mosin-Nagants.

Mosin-Nagants are okay, but the bolt and magazine are too complicated for their own good. The front sight is also crude.

My buddy's CZ-75 9mm is the best thing I've ever held in my hand that wasn't sourced on a chick's chest, and yet I don't have one because I don't like the look of it.

That got my attention. Where was I?...Oh ya..I saw a movie where a chick had three "speed bumps" but for some odd reason the movie centered around some dude named Arnold. The bastard later on became the govornator of the republic of California and he banned the .50. That asswipe

They were good enough to beat the Germans.

I went shooting today, and took shot my M-44 and my 24/47. The M-44 has a huge muzzleflash and I someone else shooting at the range came over to ask me what I was shooting. I shot the Mauser so much that grease started oozing out of the handguard.

Personally, I don't trust any pistols without a hammer. I don't understand how anyone can carry a Glock or XD.

    An identified target?

    And define miss?

If you mean does an AC-130 ever fail to take out an identified target within the engagement parameters of it's guns, short of being shot down or having a weapons malfunction of some sort, i'm gonna say no.

    Do some individual shots miss?

    Certainly.

Probably the vast majority of them in the case of the rapid fire guns, esp. the Vulcans(20mm gatling) or Equalizers(25mm gatling).

The new Mk144(?) 30mm gun equipped AC-130s(not sure what different designation they'll have, if any) will probably actually greatly increase the absolute hit %, as rotary cannons are known for a particularly large beaten zone(which i am sure is on purpose).

I wonder if they plan to run the same "Party mix" of HE to API in 'em as A-10s do.

I converted the safety/decocker on my S&W into a safety only, so i can carry it in "Cocked and locked" mode now.

    I like cocked and locked.
