Took the good ol' BW5 out today, this time installed with genuine HK extractor and extractor spring and with HK LE curved 30 round mags. It ran completely flawlessly for the 200 rounds shot, which I never could've imagined with the US made parts. I'm a happy camper today!

    [QUOTE=SnowLeopard;345941]
You know, my sister in law has offered to give me her father's reloading equipment. Maybe, even in my small apartment, I should look into it.[QUOTE]

As much ammo as you appear to go through Snow Leopard,it would probably save you some cash.It is definitely possible to set yourself up even with your limited amount of space.I started out with a single stage RCBS press mounted on a short length of 2x6 and used large C clamps to attach it to my kitchen counter.I eventually had to build a bench when I got married as the kitchen was actually being used to cook food. I got started handloading after buying a Marlin model 444S in .444 Marlin because I did not like the factory loaded 240 gr soft point pistol bullets that Remington uses.I was hooked shortly thereafter to the point that now my friends know that if they bring up the subjects of handloading or ballistics they better have packed a lunch.

I believe that the "man behind the car" was just a bit of home video trickery....either way it was not funny...idiots like these give us enlightened rednecks a bad name

I thought that the video was ok if you are into spraying and praying, which I'm not.

IMHO., most of those guy's spend way to much time sat on their rears in a fast food restaurant. They must score high mark's on the BMI. (body mass index), the mag change while going into a room and then engaging the target's in their was rather adventurous to say the least, and I have about a half a dozen other thing's that caught my attention which I'd rather not mention.

I did however like the windmill type target's that the guy with the GLOCK took out, just added to annoy Leib10 (only kidding you buddy).

@ Leib10, I liked all of the pics of your gun's that you posted, it even makes me a little jealous. The MG3 is for it's age the best, the feed mechanism has resurfaced on other machine gun's that we consider to be modern. The MG of today is a vehicle or static position weapon due to the weight of the ammo spare part's kit's etc. The biggest drawback is the belt feed, and the belt's themselves not being of the disintegrating link type, requiring the user to have one of those belt loading gadget's that I hate using while participating on a D.vag with the Reservistenverband.

    BTW. I just bought a Olympic Arm's AR15 .

Thanks a lot! They really are my pride and joy. I love working on them and cleaning them. Guns really are a passion of mine.

BTW- congrats on the AR! I haven't shot a Rock River, but I hear they're good!

PS- no offense taken on the Glock.

I bought it online on the €uropean equivalent to gun trader. great deal, it is a tgt version bbl no BUIS or front post, so when I have it, I'll put the Eotech #512 on there for now until I can afford a tacticool scope & ring's, and see how it shoots.

That EOTech sight should be fine for shorter ranges. However, if you plan on shooting farther than about 150 yards you might consider a scope.

Here's my DPMS AP4 carbine, with a 2x6 power scope, HK High Reliability magazine, and vertical grip:

Since that picture was taken I've added a HK416-type grip by TangoDown.

I like M4's, but much prefer a rifle to a carbine.

I'm looking at something with 4 or 6 to 24 by 50 or 56, preferably with mil dot reticle, illuminated would be nice, but not a prerequisite. I like the night force but will end up with a leapers or hakko on it, due to the price.

I own one of those H&K mag's, got it on fleabay for €1:00
    9 SA80A1 mag's
    3 GI 20's
    7 GI 30's
    5 Canadian thermolites

    So that's 25 mag's for my AR's, once I get the Oly I'll post some pic's.

    Nice!

I need to stock up on literally everything. In light of this recent massacre, who knows how much longer it will be available.

    I hear you on that.

My condolence's go to the families of the fallen, and to the gunman's family, as their loss and sense of guilt probably will ruin their lives too.

    RIP.

And the sad part is: no matter how many anti-gun laws Congress passes, they will always be available to the criminals.

With this in mind, I convinced my dad to buy a CZ52, a cheap surplus pistol. Pics coming soon.

I get my Olyarms tonight, so I'll fit the Eotech and do a quick bore sight and take it to the range on saturday , and will probably get some pic's of my own up by sunday.

Haha, I might as well. They only run about $150 bucks each. 7.62x25 ammo is cheap and plentiful, too.

Get those pics of your AR ASAP! I'll be looking for them.

    Oly Arms Mod ICR

    Hello to all.

I got it, so here it is.

I'd like to say at the beginning that this is a somewhat older weapon, probably one of the first that were imported to Germany, and used to have a wooden thumb hole type stock on it, thats why it has some tapped holes in the lower. The lower was originally stainless, but the prior owner used an edding marker and painted her black

I added the Eotech sight last night and generally gave it a once over. I can't wait for Saturday so that I can zero her in and post a range report on her performance, if I haven't posted anything by Monday you'll know that I'm crying in my beer .
