PSG-1 is probably my 'dream' sniper rifle too.

    Awesome weapon.

What makes it so good? Other than the fact that it really is a sniper rifle made from scratch- not totally based in the G3.
Although the G3-sg1 looks really cool in 24. Jack bauer picks them off one by one as they run for cover...
That was a really cool scene. I'm glad to have that show on DVD.

What makes it cool is that it is probably the most accurate off-the-shelf semiautomatic sniper rifle in the world, and also one of the most expensive.

Sig Pro is an excellent series. Possibly the finest tactical handguns ever.

Snipe- I am a big fan of the P7M8 also- I've wanted to add one to my collection for a long time. I like everything about that pistol- the neatest ergonomics imo of all autopistols. It's just that $1500 price tag that keeps me away...

Many manufacturers run a certified pre-owned program, you could look into that.

I was just about to say that. Sigs are a great value. But if the government had trillions of dollars to blow, I'm sure they would equip the armed forces with the p7m8. But they don't have that kind of money.

They seem like fine guns, and come at a fair price. However, I think the "finest tactical handgun ever" thing has less to do with experience and more to do with personal opinion.

Look for manufacturer- cop buyback programs. A few years back the NJ state police unloaded their P-7s. At the time they were on the market for about $650-700.

Failing that you can still get a nice used P-7M8 for about $800.
