united played schoolboy football, i remember making all those mistakes when you played in a game you didn't give a sh1t about, seriously, especailly the 4th goal, o'sheas leg being just stuck out, the compelete lack of effort the poor tackle by rio....remember it all....

united need 2 things, Ballack, casillias (real madrid keeper who running out of contract this summer) and another real world class midfielder, prefferably a winger, to replace fletcher....i mean when you have fletcher as a regualr player....what can you expect.

teams around us have transformed, the squad can no longer have average players, each player must be world class....proven!

Yea, that's what people said when Ferguson put Giggs, Scholes, Butt, Beckham, and the Nevilles on the field.

whatever.....talented playersare obvious, likes of Lampard, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, they stood out for along time, fletcher just can't compare.

i'm looking forward to fergie leaving and another big man manager coming in....

....not the celtic boss....i forget his name....

Argentina, they have IMO the best individual players. If they function as a team they can go all the way.

fergie is what holds the team together. when he goes, MU goes. watch. its only 06-07. Not too long a wait.

right now that is the case....why because the team is full of palyers without drive who have no competition, i mean if rio has a sh1t game, he knows fergie isn't going to really replace him forever...

                      Same for ruud...

now if we have a sqaud so strong that you could have 2 sides of 11 both capaable of winning the champions league individually, then watch the competition and drive amonsgt players.

Fergie is not to blame, the lack of fresh world class blood is.

I mean you mentioned fergies youngsters, yeah the crop of scholes, beckham, giggs and the nevilles where incredible, but they where a team, talented and driven, if you think of them as individuals, giggs aside the rest are not teh best in the world in thier catergory, they come in 2nd or third.

Ryan Giggs is the best left winger in the world...or joint best in my opinion, right now he has slowed down but 2-3 years ago, he was untouchable.

David Beckham never was never will be. In his position one player that has always been better has been Loius Figo....he has the pace and flair to do what Becks does but better.....

Paul scholes is an incredible player, but Ronhaldiniho, Zidane and Nedved are all players i would rate ahead of him in his attacking mid-field position as they have that bit of extra magic, perhasp not right now, but at thier primes, i eman Zidane was the best of them all.

Gary Neville is a fullback that will make it in any dream team, but CAfu and Lillian Thuram are 2 players who outclass even him.

Phil Neville....i don't know how he survived as united so long!!!

right now your probably thinnking whats his point, my point is, these players where not the best, but they won everything, why, hunger and drive, the current crop lack that drive. Fergie is a incredible fear factor for them, that keeps them running but the board won't let him do his thing.

Fergie wants big massive names in abudance in united shirts, to keep the drive and hunger there, he wanted Figo, the board wouldn't pay for him, he wanted Rivaldo, they didn't allow that sale either as the funds, the extortinate prices they wouldn't pay.

The same can be said for Sol Cambell and Thuram, the board wouldn't pay the price....they did for Veron, that backfired a bit as he needed time they wouldn't give him and that's it....no more big names.

look at chelski, they've always had big names, even since vialli days, zola, ferrer, hasselbank, babayaro, le saux, dessaily, lebouf, massive names in abundace, the differnce was the manager, united have always had the manager, they did it once, but to play it again sam, you need the big names, to keep the hunger there, united don't have that factor.

We arent releasing him (casillas) and ballack is coming to join the galacticos next season, and not to MU

They have good ball control and and good chemistry, but they falter in goal scoring they dont have the feel of ronalod or ronaldinho when it comes to getting into the nets.

Hw many time have we seen Arg qualifying for the WC brilliantly and then wading off in the WC.I like arg,but this time i am vouching for czech and portugal.

Italy seems to be going gr8 guns. Beating holland wasnt walk in the park. I think after yrs of dull performance, italy would be dark horse for WC. But germany & france seems to be going nowhere. Both will get knocked out in the QF or preQF.
