These are just squeezing tactics until USG can get what they want out of the trade deal.
What it is doing is increasing the risk for others to interact with Huawei. That's the hit to Huawei.
I'm trying to think what drove companies to think of moving out of China.
3M is an American company that makes N95 masks. They make a lot of them. In China.
What did China do. Banned them from exporting. So no PPE could be exported because China wanted first dibs.
That is the sort of state intervention that makes companies nervous.
