It's a win-win-win for Russia: Get Sanders on the 2020 Democratic ticket and watch huge swaths of undecided independents and quite a few Dems either vote for Trump or just stay home entirely (again).
To be fair, Russians or no Russians, there is little to stop the Bernie train now. He is wiping the floor with just about everyone and yet the other idiots spent the entire last debate attacking each other while Bernie came off unscathed.

Trump of course is loving it. He seems quite certain of who he wants to be up against come November.

Oh yeah definitely, if I was a member of Cult 45 I'd be dancing with glee right about now.

As I've said before, Democrats and the Democratic Party could fuck up a wet dream. Not only have they learned nothing from 2016, they appear to have started walking backwards. Pretty impressive actually.

We'll know pretty much for sure a week from now.

given the experience of 2016 you'd think they would personally understand that rooting for a supposed "favorable" opponent has the potential to backfire. Trump was supposed to be HRC's personal punching-bag.
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."- Isaac Asimov

            • Trump Launches New Attack On Supreme Court, Demands Liberal Justices Recuse

President Donald Trump launched a new attack on the judicial system on Monday, targeting the nation’s high court by demanding that two liberal Supreme Court justices recuse themselves from any case involving him or his administration.

Trump claimed associate justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg couldn’t be fair to him:

“Sotomayor accuses GOP appointed Justices of being biased in favor of Trump.” @IngrahamAngle @FoxNews This is a terrible thing to say. Trying to “shame” some into voting her way? She never criticized Justice Ginsberg when she called me a “faker”. Both should recuse themselves on all Trump, or Trump related, matters! While “elections have consequences”, I only ask for fairness, especially when it comes to decisions made by the United States Supreme Court!

Trump has a history of attacking prosecutors and judges. Earlier this month, he slammed U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who presided over the case against longtime Trump ally Roger Stone. Jackson also handled a case that concluded last year against former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Trump earlier tried to insult U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who was born in Indiana, by describing him as a “Mexican.” He also called U.S. District Judge Jon S. Tigar a “disgrace” and an “Obama judge” for ruling against his administration in an immigration case.

Trump’s latest attack seems to be in response to a dissent Sotomayor wrote last week in which she accused the Supreme Court’s conservative wing of being biased toward the administration, saying they’ve been “all too quick to grant the Government’s ‘reflexiv[e]’ requests.” She warned that such actions could “erode the fair and balanced decisionmaking process that this Court must strive to protect.”

              • Congress warns Pentagon not to move money to fund Trump wall

WASHINGTON (AP) — Lawmakers from both parties told Pentagon leaders on Wednesday that the Defense Department is undermining its own efforts to get military money by diverting billions of dollars for the construction of President Donald Trump's U.S.-Mexico border wall

The chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and the committee's top Republican warned Defense Secretary Mark Esper that overturning congressional funding decisions to shift money for the wall is an enormous problem that will have consequences.

The plan to shift money has triggered rare Republican opposition to one of Trump's priorities.

Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, said the result may be that Congress will place greater restrictions on the Pentagon's ability to move money around to meet military needs. The chairman, Democratic Rep. Adam Smith of Washington, said the money transfer is “very, very damaging to the Pentagon.”

“The message it sends is the Pentagon has plenty of money,” said Smith, adding that it “undercuts any arguments for any need for resources.”

The Pentagon announced this month that it was slashing billions of dollars in funding for Navy and Air Force aircraft and other military programs to free up money for the construction of the wall.

Esper approved the $3.8 billion border wall request from the Department of Homeland Security, and the Pentagon acknowledged that more cuts could be coming to provide additional dollars for the wall. Trump has repeatedly claimed that Mexico is paying for his promised “big beautiful wall,” but that has never happened.

The Pentagon's decision, announced in “reprogramming” documents provided to lawmakers, stripped money from major aircraft and procurement programs that touch Republican and Democratic districts and states.

Despite congressional opposition, Trump faced no consequences when making similar transfers last year, when the Pentagon canceled dozens of military construction projects to free up $3.6 billion and transferred $2.5 billion in counterdrug money.

All together, Trump has obtained just over $3 billion for border barrier construction by working through regular congressional channels, subject to limitations imposed by lawmakers. He has used various transfer and emergency authorities to shift almost $7 billion more from the emergency declaration, from a forfeiture fund containing money seized by law enforcement and from funding for military counterdrug activities.

Specifically, the plan targets money for more than a dozen aircraft, including two F-35 fighters sought by Texas Rep. Kay Granger, the top Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, and other members of the Texas congressional delegation.

It also cuts money for eight Reaper drones, four Air Force C-130 transport aircraft, two Marine V-22 Osprey helicopters and also for amphibious ships, National Guard equipment and Army trucks.
                _______________

Considering that the GOP Congress has long ago renounced their Constitutionally-mandated powers in favor of Donald Trump's capricious whims, it's shocking that a few (just one?) of them are shocked that Trump would usurp the Congressional power of the purse and actually protest it.

He was an utterly incapable, unadapted, irresponsible, psychopathic personality, full of empty, infantile fantasies, but cursed with the keen intuition of a rat or a guttersnipe. • Trump Campaign Sues New York Times for Libel Over Russian Collusion Op-Ed

President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign sued the New York Times for libel Wednesday over a 2019 opinion article called “The Real Trump-Russia Quid Pro Quo.”

The campaign is seeking millions of dollars in damages, according to the suit, filed in Manhattan and reviewed by TheWrap. The article, by former Times executive editor Max Frankel, reports “as fact a conspiracy with Russia,” according to the suit. The suit also accuses the paper of “engaging in a systematic pattern of bias” against the president’s reelection campaign.

The lawsuit says the Times “knowingly published false and defamatory statements of and concerning plaintiff Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. (the Campaign’), claiming it had an ‘overarching deal’ with ‘Vladimir Putin’s oligarchy’ to ‘help in the campaign against Hillary Clinton’ in exchange for ‘a new pro-Russian foreign policy, starting with relief from the Obama administration’s burdensome economic sanctions.” In the filing, the campaign also demanded a jury trial.

In a statement to TheWrap, a New York Times spokesperson said, “The Trump Campaign has turned to the courts to try to punish an opinion writer for having an opinion they find unacceptable. Fortunately, the law protects the right of Americans to express their judgments and conclusions, especially about events of public importance. We look forward to vindicating that right in this case.”

Lol what a fuckin' pussy...Yet another example of how Trump doesn't understand the document he swore to defend and uphold.

                      • Meanwhile Trump went on TV to talk about the coronavirus and reassure the nation. Instead it was some insults directed towards the Democrats (what is a press conference without that), stock market dropped because of the debate, however he solved the problem and felt he deserved praise, from himself and others in the admin, for solving the virus problem.

The rest of the press conference can be summed up in one word by me and maybe some others... incoherent. It was that bad.

Perhaps you are still rattling on about the son Hunter Biden but as far as I know his Pater Joe Biden is running for President.

                          • If you bothered to read (the linked article). Joe Biden asked voters to look him over. Vote for himself or one of the other “Biden’s” (referring to the others running for “Senate” while running for President).

                            • If you wish to persecute the Bidens for seeking office and to end the lawless catastrophe of the traitor President of Joffrey Lanister with no grounds for so do not be surprised if reality gives you a kick from the rear end.

He actually means other candidates: Bernie Sanders, Peter Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Bloomberg and Amy Klobuchar.
