Oh yeah, attitudes have hardened beyond repair. Pretty remarkable here in the enlightened 21st Century.

He was an utterly incapable, unadapted, irresponsible, psychopathic personality, full of empty, infantile fantasies, but cursed with the keen intuition of a rat or a guttersnipe. There has always been a fairly decent size group in this country who harbored, and still do, latent prejudices. Mostly they stayed quiet and below the radar and so the boat wasn't rocked too much. However, Trump has upended that as he decided tapping into those latent prejudices was good for him. Those who hold those prejudices saw Trump talking about them through wink, wink, snark, snark, and felt we now have someone like us and we can come out of the closet. Naturally the people on the receiving end of these prejudices be it religious, race, gender, or immigrant are not likely to forget nor forgive anytime soon. Disunity will no doubt be the defining issue of this decade unfortunately.
In case you missed it elsewhere ...

      I have to disagree.
We, the Democrats, believe in the constitution and respect the opinons of others.

Play fair, and we'll see who gets the most votes.

Cheat, by refusing to let people register to vote, or not making voting easy, or by not having an honest count, and we'll come down on you like a ton of bricks.
Cheat, by refusing to even give a fair hearing to the President's Supreme Court nominee, or by demanding thorough ignorance before voting on impeachement charges, and you will not be forgiven.
Cheat, by inviting foreign governments to interfer in our democratic processes, and we will bring the wrath of God down on your heads.

Otherwise, go out there and make your policy pitches. Put up your best, and let's let the voters decide.
After all, that's the American way.

Trump repeatedly struggles to pronounce words during conspiracy-laden rally, before suggesting he'll pardon Roger Stone in late-night tweet

        By Tom Embury-Dennis, The Independent, February 20, 2020, https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-a9345956.html

Donald Trump delivered a stumbling, incoherent and at times outright fictitious re-election rally address in which he complained about a dog’s media coverage and appeared to approve calls to imprison Hillary Clinton.

The dark, grievance-filled speech to supporters, delivered at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Arizona, was followed by a tweet which appeared to suggest he may pardon convicted friend and former advisor Roger Stone.

It came just a day after Mr Trump, apparently emboldened by his impeachment acquittal, pardoned a host of white-collar criminals, many with personal connections to the president's donors and supporters.

Having falsely accused Democrats of attempting through impeachment to “poison our democracy and overthrow our entire system of government”, Mr Trump moved onto Conan, the military dog who was wounded during the Navy SEAL raid which killed Isis leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

“Remember the dog, great dog, Conan,” Mr Trump said while complaining about what he perceives as unfair media coverage. “When we took out - right? We love Conan. Conan’s a tough dog. But when we took out Al-Baghdadi, Conan, remember this? Conan got more publicity than President Trump.

        That's ok.”

Echoing his repeated musings about serving more than the constitutionally enforced limit of two terms as president, Mr Trump complained “crooked politicians” had “really took away three years from us” due to investigations into his campaign’s links with Russia and the impeachment inquiry into his attempt to pressure Ukraine into investigating his political rivals.

Both probes uncovered multiple instances of wrongdoing by either Mr Trump himself or members of his 2016 election team.
Midway through Mr Trump’s speech, chants of “Lock her up!” erupted among his supporters after he gloated about beating Ms Clinton in the 2016 election.

Amid a series of false claims and mistruths about his impeachment, poll ratings and his political opponents, Mr Trump also struggled with a number of words.

“Last month we ended the Nasta (sic), there’ve, look you saw it, Nafta, catastrophe and that’s what it was,” Mr Trump said in reference to the US-Mexico-Canada free trade agreement which was renegotiated by his administration last year.

Discussing an illegal immigrant convicted of murder, Mr Trump said: “This savage animal had previously been deported after serving six years in privit (sic), and you know he was in prison six years.”

Mr Trump also stumbled over the word “overdose” - mispronouncing it “overdoth” – before referring to “neonetical” research instead of “neonatal”.
The US president has a long history of slurring words, often when reading from a teleprompter.

Just gonna get worse and worse. Mental deterioration is a sad thing to see and time is not on this man's side.

          • House leaders reportedly learned Russia was trying to get Trump re-elected — and Trump was angry about it

President Trump would rather keep the facts to himself.

Last week, the House Intelligence Committee reportedly received a briefing detailing how Russia was once again interfering in the 2020 election. The next day, Trump attacked his outgoing national intelligence director for letting the briefing happen, people familiar with the exchange told The New York Times.

The committee, led by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), learned from intelligence official Shelby Pierson that Russia was working to get Trump re-elected this fall, five people familiar with the matter said. Pierson has a reputation for bluntness, and some officials who heard about the briefing suggested Pierson should've left out the bit on Russia to avoid riling up Republicans in the room. Trump's allies at the briefing "challenged the conclusions, arguing that Mr. Trump has been tough on Russia and strengthened European security," the Times writes.

An even bigger uproar came the next day from Trump himself, who attacked Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire for what was said in the briefing. This happened last Friday, and by Wednesday, Trump announced he was replacing Maguire with U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, who's unabashedly loyal to the president.

Let's cut to the chase shall we. Since he has also made light of the Constitution combined with all that you listed above then does that make Trump a traitor to what the Constitution stands for?

                  Yes, of course.

Have you ever heard of something called a “deduction”?
It’s a really neat bit of tax law.
You should look into it sometime.

Do you do your own taxes? If so it is a good thing the IRS will correct mistakes as there is one egregious error when this clown did the numbers. Are you smart enough to spot it?

                        • For all this talk about how tough Trump has been on the Russians he has proved again why he is their best friend. There is no better gift for the Russians than crippling our intelligence services which is exactly what is happening. Seems the bloodletting has started as the Trump loyalist is making his mark as temporary head of the intelligence services this Friday by dismissing the #2 at the Office of Director of National Intelligence.

Seems the intelligence level of the country is going into the dumpster for many.

Also I believe a person at $29,000 is still at the 15% tax bracket. Our poster and the genius behind him would have you think they would have to pay an extra 37% in taxes. Nothing like an out and out lie. Sanders has actually said they would have to pay an extra 4% and one can go ahead and double check me as I heard it just tonight.

It's a win-win-win for Russia: Get Sanders on the 2020 Democratic ticket and watch huge swaths of undecided independents and quite a few Dems either vote for Trump or just stay home entirely (again).
