So, why not leave it at that?
      Why bother coming after me?

You, me, they, them are not important. I'm challenging your views, your ideology, your unwavering support of China, and the sandcastle you've built around yourself.

Generation Amnesia: why China’s youth don’t talk about Tiananmen

China urges U.S. to abide by one-China policy after American warships sail through Taiwan Strait

WTF is a one China policy? Inner Mongolia, Tibet, Xinjiang, islands in the SCS/ECS. Those were independent provinces until CPC gobbled those up.

Powerful art. It's true its been well covered up. I'd watched a documentary on Nova by the journalist who got the Tank man photos and at the end there was a clip of these Chinese kids, in UCLA maybe first years being shown photos from Tianamen, some quite well know outside and they had no clue what those photos were about. Maybe a movie or some photography but the reaction would be as if you showed them to some foreigners and it meant nothing.

An upsurge in nationalism and patriotism in China has been directly generated by decades of rapid economic growth, according to Zheng Yongnian, director of the East Asian Institute at the National University of Singapore.

“The young people in China have not lived through China’s most painful and difficult time,” he said. “Coupled with official propaganda, their patriotic or nationalistic sentiment is likely to be spontaneous.”

“We all want a better China,” Wang said. “As of now, I think a better China requires more down-to-earth hard work, rather than empty slogans about democracy.”
I see shades of this with Indian youth as well. An unquestioning, uncritical acceptance of authority. The Chinese kids have an excuse, Indian kids don't.

No, except for the SCS Islands, they were all part of the Qing Empire which was larger than the PRC.

Let's look at the Qing empire. I see differing interpretations already depending on geography

Push into Arunachal starts around 1857. Mongolia should not exist today.

Does not even get into Arunachal, maybe its not to scale but still is staying clear of India. Parts of Mongolia still around.

And its titled not the western version : )

Afghanistan & Pakistan was part of India. World's largest Hindu temple is in Cambodia, so India has claim there. Sri Lanka, Japan and numerous other countries which are buddhist, can be said to have ancient Indian influence, and therefore fit for Indian claim. These ancient claims are a load of bollocks in the 21st century. Borders have been drawn, every country should respect that.

America’s quarrel is not with Chinese civilisation, but the Chinese Communist Party

Well, there goes your claims that China should respect an independant Tibet, Xinjiang, and Inner Mongolia. I mean, after all, the Mughals originated from Kazakhstan.

If you want to say that 21st century countries should respect the borders drawn, then you have to take the good with the bad. Tibet, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang belongs to the PRC just as Kashmir belongs to India.

^ Agree. Slightly incorrect though. Tibet was annexed by force after the great war.

True when it comes to Indian youth, but hey, appeasement politics of the Congress led to its rise in India. Let's take a look at the basics - 24x7 water supply, 24x7 power supply, good roads. Had scamgress provided these basic utilities to the Indian public, no way the BJP could have made inroads. People were frustrated, they wanted these things for 70 years and never got them. All they got was crappy socialism. Every law scamgress made or used to their advantage when they were in power, BJP is now using it to tear apart the Congress.

Now, what excuse do Chinese kids have?
