If one goes by the map of this article - SAMs And Anti-Ship Missiles Are Now Guarding China's Man-Made South China Sea Islands - there are 8 Chinese outposts, of which I believe 3 has been occupied already, and 5 remains.
And ask the Japanese how well their larger outposts fared like Guadalcanal where they had an extremely difficult time replenishing and reinforcing that island and the US just a bit above sticks and stones at the time.

China's pre-historic study have recently thrown up a lot of unknown facts that most of the modern world never knew existed before. While the United States hides aged Nazi scientists in Area 51 fiddling with stealth technology, China has found fossils of the Peking Man holding dragon eggs. The shape in which the fossil was extracted, indicates that he was trying to protect those eggs from being stolen. Who else but the British, Europeans and Americans. Maybe, Indians too.

After giving the Peking Man a decent burial alongwith a Peking Duck for company or maybe food, the Chinese started to analyze the genome sequence of the eggs. The breakthrough, came in early 2018. Cambridge and MIT educated Chinese scientists successfully extracted a DNA sample from one of those eggs. Unknown sources have confirmed that Chinese scientists have started harvesting the DNA samples with the idea to create a Super Dragon, which went extinct due to the Chimera virus. The carrier then was vector borne mosquitoes, which picked up the virus probably from the Americans or the Europeans while they were on Mischief Reef off the Spratly Islands, 3 million years back. Defense analysts say that by early 2020 they'd have a prototype of the dragon ready, which is why China is buying and storing huge amounts of fuel, for the dragon to spit out fire. Chinese technologists are also perfecting a technique by which they'd use Artificial Intelligence to control the brain of the dragon, to distinguish friend from foe. Its brain already have a complex mesh of neural networks that aid in jamming capabilities, and eyes that uses x-ray to scan a million miles into the space.

It's still early days, but with a million AI-enabled dragons spitting fire at Mach-1000, flying over the skies from China to America, India to Saudi Arabia, Europe to Russia, China is hoping to paint the world red. When asked for a reaction, a senior General of the PLA mocked, "when our dragons are ready, there will be no instance of a prolonged war. It'll be over quick. In minutes." Chinas' Defence Ministry spokesperson has rubbished claims of China building a Dragonoid arms race, while stating that China will rise peacefully with all its international obligations intact. He also stated that anybody with a proper visa can visit China and see dragon eggs that have been placed in Jingshan Park, north of the Forbidden City, in the Imperial City Area of Beijing.

Dragon eggs in Jingshan Park, Beijing

Have you taken to reading fantasy comic books now?

In one of your posts you claimed to be an expat Chinese living in India.
Well this is the internet where anyone can claim to be what ever they want to be.
The way you attack and defend yourself with fanatical resilence in response to DOR's posts, and have a liking for Animee, Magna and Dragon Ball Z type stories, perhaps you are really Japanese?

I suppose that's the reason you will use to explain why the PLA kicked your butts in Korea?

Since you are here to learn, the PLA made critical errors and it was in their luck that Eighth Army decided to retreat instead of turning around and fight.

Do note that the PVA had surrounded Choisin and still could not achieve victory. That in a nutshell described the PVA's drive southwards. Their initial success was due to no less than the 4 artillery divisions that they had so carefully positioned to surprise Eighth Army. They had to leave those 4 artillery divisions behind as they attempted to outrace Eighth Army south so they can surround the Americans. The PVA succeeded no less than 5 times, the last time, it was a company size (100-130 men) blocking force. Each time, Eighth Army smashed through the blocking force.

Do you see the picture? Had Eighth Army turned around and fought, the PVA, without those 4 guns div, would have been shredded. The PVA sought the Battle of Annhilation with the Eighth Army. Not only did they failed but they would have been the ones who would have been annihilated.

Yes I get the picture. However when you point out that the PVA had four gun divisions for the battle, where was the artillery support for the U.S.forces?

While it may not have been a complete rout of U.S. forces at Chosin, they did prevent the UN forces from accomplishing their objectives.
IMO It was not a bad effort by a ragtag army who MacArthur disregarded as a serious threat.

We called it air artillery and it was one of the reason why the last blocking force was coy size. Very few trucks were delivering food, water, ammo needed to outrace the Eighth Army. The PVA was relying on human mules closer to the front.

Yeah, that is another reason for the PVA's success. It would be an extremely rare military historian who would considered MacArthur a great WWII Captain. He would have been trounced by Zhukov, Chuikov, Von Manstien, Rommell, Montgomery, Model, Patton, Bradley, Simmonds, Slim.

I'm no expert on the war, but I believe MacArthur's intel told him that the Chinese weren't going to intervene, and he believed them. After the unpleasantness of the surprise attacks by massed units of the PVA on the 8th Army, even if MacArthur's intel had told him that the Chinese had no artillery, would he have believed them? Morale- and supply-wise, was the 8th Army in any shape to turn around and hack through the PVA? Especially since he had no idea how many of the PVA there were.

Chinese KDA was way too low in the Korean war. Not sure where it came from, but there is this myth in China that the US fared poorly in Korea.

Chinese artillery was decidely absent during the drive south.

It only took 2 bns, 3 RAR and 2 PPCLI, to stop an entire Army Group, 3AG, at Kapyong. The Chinese were more spent than 8th Army.

You can say that again. Mao's sole surviving non-defective son died in that war. That's the equivalent of Al Gore dying in Vietnam, but a much bigger deal, since Al Gore Sr wasn't an emperor. Plus, Mao, Son of Heaven in all but name, literally had power of life-and-death over anyone in China. Mao's son may have died because Chinese commanders erroneously expected a rerun of the denouement of the Chinese Civil War, where their capitalist running dog opponents would give ground easily and surrender en masse. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mao_Anying Despite being posted in the rear at PVA HQ, as befitting the Crown Prince, he fell victim to a UN airstrike.
