    Sergei Skripal is now apparently out of 'critical' condition.

    OPCW report on the Skripal case: https://20years.opcw.org/wp-content/...1612-2018e.pdf

    Turns out also Yulia Skripals email were hacked into as long ago as 2013 as is alleged in this letter from Sir Mark Sedwill to Jens Stoltenberg: https://www.scribd.com/document/3762...ral#from_embed

    Meanwhile the Muscovite Embassy allege that Yulia Skripal has been "kidnapped".

    The results of the analysis by the OPCW designated laboratories of environmental and biomedical samples collected by the OPCW team confirm the findings of the United Kingdom relating to the identity of the toxic chemical that was used in Salisbury and severely injured three people.

    The UK’s delegation to the OPCW requested that the Technical Secretariat share the report with all States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and to make the Executive Summary of the report publicly available.

    The OPCW team worked independently and is not involved in the national investigation by the UK authorities. No State Party was involved in the technical work carried out by the Technical Secretariat.

    The TAV team notes that the toxic chemical was of high purity. The latter is concluded from the almost complete absence of impurities.

    OPCW designated laboratories are a lynchpin of the Organisation’s verification regime and its capacity to investigate allegations of the use of chemical weapons. They must be able to perform off-site analysis of chemical samples collected by OPCW inspectors from chemical production facilities, storage depots and other installations, or from the site of an alleged use of chemical weapons. These laboratories offer the necessary assurance to our States Parties that chemical analyses needed to make determinations or to clarify issues occurring during OPCW deployments are carried out competently, impartially, and with unambiguous results.

    interesting part for me was this

    DSTL established the highest concentrations of the chemical were found on the Skirpal's front door handle
    This would then have been transferred to the police sergeant who attended them and also fell ill

    The Muscovy today as opposed to the propaganda TV station. Over 1,600 arrested according to some in demonstrations ahead of Putin's next inauguration;

    Navalny (naturally) arrested... again.

    Vova seems to be on another planet; exhorting "young people" (presumably not the 'dangerous criminal' it takes 3 policemen to carry away above);

    Know your enemy.

    Some positive developments coming from the UK:

    Yesterday the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee released a report with the title: 'Moscow's Gold: Russian Corruption in the UK'. The full report is here: https://publications.parliament.uk/p...ff/932/932.pdf It basically says more must be done.

    Apparently due to changes made in UK visa requirements made in 2015 of which I knew nothing some Muscovite (and Ukrainian) 'oligarchs' - or thieves to use the more accurate vernacular - face new requirements when having their UK visa's renewed. One of the Muscovite's Abramovich now facing problems having his visa renewed is quite well known in England since he own a high profile Football Club, Chelsea FC which on Saturday won the season ending FA Cup against Manchester United. He did not show up for the game.

    It seems that Mr Abramovich and others will henceforth be required to show that their wealth was legally gained for the sort of visa's they have previously obtained - called Tier 1 Investors Visas. The BBC has some graphs on who such visas have been granted to here; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44197798

    Proving the legal source of his wealth for Abramovich - and some Ukrainians - will be extremely problematical. "Aluminum wars" may not cut the mustard in the Abramovich case.

    Came across a podcast with this guy questioning everything the UK govt has said to date on this affair. Listening to his recordings revealed he used to be a columinst for the Sun but is now with RT & Sputnik. He considers himself a purveyor of alternative news because he's been blackballed by the UK media establishment. ooh i wonder why

    There is only one conclusion any sane viewer could come to wasn't there? "It was the Russians wot done it and Putin's filthy fingerprints are all over this!!"

    Well that's what the mainstream media would have you believe. They seem to have forgotten that the relationship between a journalist and a politician should be that of a dog and a lamppost! Our job is to probe, to investigate, to question and if necessary to piss all over the Politicians parade.

    However, worryingly, the entire MSM are slavishly obeying the two D notices and treating them as if they are a blanket ban on any discussion of Salisbury which they are not.

    Something is up: Day before yesterday Sławomir Dębski, the head of the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) who had been invited to Moscow for a meeting of the 'think tank' "Primakov Readings" (Primakov being a former Muscovite Prime Minister 1998 to 1999) got his visa cancelled, was apparently briefly arrested but allowed to escape out back to Warsawa. Bit odd as he had been invited to Moscow by his Muscovite colleagues.

    So then yesterday Arkady Babchenko, a Muscovite who fought in the Chechen Wars but later went on to become a reporter for Novaya Gazetta (where Anna Politskaya has worked) got shot dead in Kyiv; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-44299741

    Here is a translated subtitles film of his;

    Naturally Moscow denies having anything to do with it. Points to the dangers of being a journalist in Kyiv... hilarious.

    Now today Bill Browder (who was behind the Magnitsky Laws and who wrote 'Red Notice') who had been invited to Spain by Spain investigators working on Muscovite mafia in Spain (where Putin has a villa) got arrested on a Muscovite Interpol warrant. His charge sheet is here;

    Well in a world of smoke and mirrors it now turns out Arkady Babchenko is alive and well!

    The SBU parading him live on TV:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQGglrOBb-c

    Apparently it was all an elaborate hoax to round up the Muscovite hit squad who are now caught.

    So it is confirmed that Babchenko is alive and healthy. The story is that some two months ago an ex Ukrainian soldier contacted the SBU to tell them he had been hired by someone - a middleman or agent - to do the killing. The SBU went to Babchenko and notified him of this plot for his demise and together they came up with this plan to get the middleman and his contacts. The middleman is currently in detention and his phone links all go to... well you know where.

    There is and should be in my view some criticism of this operation. It looks like a gimmick to me and makes the SBU less credible in general. TV events should not be the business of the SBU. That said a real plot was thwarted and a good man still lives. My point would be that the purpose of the operation was to nab the agent in Kyiv. If this required the staged killing fair enough. But all that then had to be said was "We have arrested the conspirator". Nothing else. Let them continue to believe Babchenko was dead, give him a new name and move him and so on and all is done. I am not sure this sort of sensationalism is good for his future security nor the credibility of the SBU as a service already much in need of reform in the eyes of many even within the service itself.

    Oh an Browder got released but then he was not a real worry - now back in London apparently.
