No no... just all his campaign team (and lawyer) were involved and talking to Moscow all the time - that his son and son in law met them at Trump Tower (and Trumpkin lied about why after), that he said he never had anything to with 'Russia'? That there were not computer chats passing? That he does not have a liking for 'that sort' of Lady but has affairs with 'film stars'? After the recent US election one "essentially viewing" Muscovite TV host said "Our agent in America has failed us."

By the way they nabbed Rybolovlev - the guy who bought Trumpkin's house 'Maison l'Amitee' in Florida for about $60m more than it was worth in Morocco a couple of days ago; money laundering.

      • julie,

I find that statement mind-boggling being as it does not take a rocket scientist to figure the IRS needs many more staff to handle the ACA, being it was going to be guided by the IRS. Good Lord.
what the administration asks for and what it gets after negotiations with Congress are two different things.

as you see from the graph above-- which is from the IRS's own website-- there was no massive expansion, either in staff or in budget.
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."- Isaac Asimov

So Carter Page never went to Moscow - Trumpkin never went there or asked if Putin would his next best friend, Papadapolous never went to Italy to meet the (still missing - probably dead) Professor Misfud, Manafort never offered Deripaska 'updates' on the campaign, his guy in Kyiv ("Kostya from the GRU") was a nothing, Trumpkin junior's meeting with the Muscovite lawyer never happened, Sessions never spoke to the Ambassador, General Flynn never spoke to them, Jared Kushner never met with the head of the bank, one of who's employees was in prison for espionage in a case where Carter Page had previously been questioned, Michael Cohen never came to Europe during the campaign... Commerce Secretary was on the board of Cypriot Bank and... well I could fill pages but you get my gist. Practically every one of the core campaign was speaking to Moscow at one time or another - even down to Stone who now says he lied when he said he was in touch with Assange and Wikileaks. But Trumpkin never knew... pull me another cracker. But apparently just a bad dream and all "bullshit" to use your elegant english.

If you need me to explain how money works I am happy to please; where did the money come from is the question? As the vendee you have a duty to report if there is the possibility of the money you are being offered may come from illegal sources - drugs, fraud, mafia etc... Otherwise you see you may up laundering dirty money. Normally when a person who is selling something for what they know is dirty money they can charge a premium - a 'bonus' fee for the risk. Trumpkin's did loads of business with Muscovite as the son tells us - now worries, no checking no nothing. One of Trumpkin's casino's was done for money laundering. However when laundering dirty money becomes your staple diet who owns who? The client or the money launderer? Why do you think they interfered on Trumpkins behalf rather than against him?

Has Trumpkin lied about his Moscow connection and contacts ever? Jared Kushner asking a "back channel" via the Muscovite Embassy is not even suspicious? I call it treason in the good old wordage. But Trumpkin never knew a thing right? Was it the Scarlet Pimpernel who sailed on the "Daydream"?

Not, it was Andrew Johnson. Trump is a close second followed on the heels by Nixon

I admire President Trump. I think he's a visionary. The best till now. Johnson would come second though.

Modi is a good friend but India is a tough negotiator, admits Donald Trump

I would argue, and many historians agree with me, that Buchanan was our worst President. His policies and lack of direction as well as cabinet officers openly hostile to the Union.

His presidency resulted in the American Civil War. A stronger hand could have staved off or prevented the Civil War.

Buchanan was selected only because he had been Minister to the Court of Saint James (Ambassador to England) so he was free from the taint of Kansas-Nebraska Act and all the other political issues that were roiling the country. However his intervention with the Supreme Court and the Dred Scot Case, acceptance of the Kansas LeCompton Constitution over the express recommendation of the legitimate Kansas government and caused a rift in the Democratic party, breaking the party into Northern & Southern factions. This opened the door in 1860 for the Republican Party with Lincoln at the fore to take the Presidency with 39% of the vote.

If you think anyone else is going to rise because the West is dipping, think again.

Also, the strong may like the strong, they trample others underfoot.

My point in this reply is that IRS employees ballooned under the Obama Administration due to the enforcement of the Affordable Care Act. Then cut under Trump in some areas, but allowed additional funds to the IRS in other areas. Those articles discuss this.
Sorry, but in my language "understaffed" isn't the same as corrupt.

Can't say I've ever heard of anyone going to jail over something that was -- or wasn't -- in their college records.
As for tax fraud or money laundering, that's in an entirely different class and your red herring is left dying on the sand.

As to your "graph." I'm not disputing those amounts. IRS ballooned in staff by 2010. It was cut back down in 2012 which of course means less operating costs. Less government, less spending.
Not in the case of the IRS.
The evidence (remember that stuff?) shows that each additional audit agent employed by the IRS generates far more revenue that cost.

In China, the practice is to ask some government or party official to sell you a framed calligraphic inscription, to hang in your office. Never mind that the official has handwriting like a six years old; it is clearly worth every penny of the millions that exchanged hands.

                            Corruption?
                            No! Perish the thought.
Selling calligraphy for a profit is just "good business."

What is the advantage? You want farmers to move from Agriculture into what? Look at China, they import most of their food, and are buying farmlands in different countries. What is it that you're trying to say here?
                              OK, OK, I admit it.

                              • I don't know but it is his right to fight tooth and nail. I'd be more worried when he doesn't have that right.
OOE is right: the rest of you are wrong.
There are already enforcement agencies that exist to pursue crimes and you should trust them to do their jobs. The only reason you should be launching independent Congressional inquiries is when you do NOT trust the executive to be doing its job correctly, such as if Trump were ordering the IRS to not investigate his taxes. If Mueller wants to supbonea tax records, then he can state that he wants to supbonea tax records, or any other financial records.

There's no "right to know" the financial details of any politician. This is an utterly absurd tradition. Establish probable cause and follow the pre-established enforcement mechanisms, same as for any other citizen.
