I recall seeing my nephew when he left the Navy after 6 years in nuclear engineering. At 6'5" you would think he'd be around 200-210 lbs. Instead he weighed just slightly lesss than my 170 lbs. at 6'1". Said he never got time to eat so I guess you chose where your time goes, sleep or eat. Everyone around him was leaving and they were be offered up to $75,000 to re-enlist like he was. So he left, went to college, got his degree in Geology and then a masters, and now has his first civilian job in the Central Valley.
One should see me with only 5 hours sleep. Perpetual hang over headache all day till I get to sleep 7-8 hours. The powers that be have also decided that having an intern working a 36 hour shift wasn't as bad as thought. Why? Hospitals were complaining they didn't have enough coverage if the interns were leaving after their regular shift so things went back to the old way and safety be damned.
