I know quite well when UK entered the war.

Yes, it was because the Kaiser had violated Belgium's neutrality.

You mean Fuhrer and Polish sovereignty?

We miss the like button and the emoticon. Would be much easier.

Meanwhile in the 'great new future' of pre Brexit the devaluation of the £, which everyone said was neither here nor there, is bringing inflation of around 3% while wages are rising around 1%. Disposable income is therefore being squeezed (for those that have some) or cold nights perhaps beckon for the less well off.

Really? Strange how the Pound was at a low previously in 2008, almost at parity with the Euro. Prices at the pump went as high as 1.40 a litre in 2011, Still no major increase in inflation (its actually running at 2.3% as of March) The truth of course is that Government cut backs are now in full swing. I think you'll find the entire Public sector is Screaming blue murder at present. Very little has anything to do with Brexit. Because guess what, Brexit hasn't happened yet!!!
Personally I'd be more worried about inflation in the Euro zone which has now shot up to 2% (average figure for entire Zone) from 1.8%

After reading 13 pages of "They are not treating us fair", I must ask a simple question.

Why did the people that voted for Brexit think that they could leave the EU but still enjoy all the benefits?

I've got a question for you. Why did all the EU parasites think they could continue to enjoy the life of Riley at the expense of others?

Because thats part of being a Union. In the United States, California is a economic powerhouse. They, if independent, would be the 6th largest economy in the world. While the southern states like Arkansas, Louisiana and West Virginia are drains on the nation. Poor education levels, poor health with high rates of government assistance. Taking far more from the federal government coffers than they contribute

But no State talks of leaving the US because they think they are being treated unfairly. Or paying more than their fair share.

Its not all rainbows and puppydogs.

Once again, why do you think you should enjoy the benefits after you leave?

Sorry but I completely disrespect the question. You make it sound like the EU is doing the UK some big Favour, it's not. Because at its core it is a Racket! They're helping nobody but themselves and we're paying. The UK is a sovereign nation just like the USA. The EU (which we never voted to join by the way) is in effect a political extortion racket. They have in effect created another tier of bureaucratic money grabbing to spoon feed the political elite in Europe.
