Okay. Send me your address and I will send it to you so you can donate it to any one of those ships that you favor the most.

Just gotta work down this pile of plans and paperwork somehow. But I'd rather donate it than toss it in the recycling bin.

Okay. Send me your address ([email protected]) and I will send it to you. Then you can donate it to whichever ship you most favor.

I have to work down this pile of plans, charts, paperwork, etc. by donating it to a museum rather than tossing it into the recycling bin.

During WWII, wasn't there a U.S.destroyer that rammed a U-boat? Did it have a ram stem? I take it that not all destroyers were built with them.

I found these two -- neither were Fletchers so I'm guessing that neither would have been equipped with the ram stem.

Actually tmasi, there were a few rammings during WW2! USS Borie, DD215 rammed U405 and USS Baker, DE-190 rammed and sunk U233. Of course we all remember the Hollywood version in the movie "The Enemy Below".
The engagement between USS Borie and U215 was quite the battle! Checkout the story on Wikipedia

By the way, Borie was an old 4 stacker Clemson Class that was built in 1919!

Found a picture of BB-56's bow for comparison -- has it's own bulb, too. The diagrams in profile don't bring that out.
