Yamato Bulbous Bow - Effect on speed of Iowa hull form?
Actually tmasi, there were a few rammings during WW2! USS Borie, DD215 rammed U405 and USS Baker, DE-190 rammed and sunk U233. Of course we all remember the Hollywood version in the movie "The Enemy Below".
The engagement between USS Borie and U215 was quite the battle! Checkout the story on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Borie_(DD-215)
By the way, Borie was an old 4 stacker Clemson Class that was built in 1919!
