Santa told a young girl that Hillary Clinton made the naughty list.
Now he’s in trouble with HR.

Not even a visit to Santa is apolitical anymore.

A man who played Santa Claus at a Florida mall has been removed after reportedly telling a child sitting on his lap that Hillary Clinton was on his “naughty list.”

The incident took place last week at Seminole Towne Center in Sanford, Fla., about 25 miles northeast of Orlando.

According to CBS affiliate WKMG, a local woman had taken her two children to the mall to see Santa, a holiday tradition for many families in America.

The woman’s 4-year-old child posed first with Saint Nick, and then her 10-year-old daughter sat on the mall Santa’s lap, according to a WKMG screen shot of one of the woman’s Facebook posts.

“She tells Santa what she wants, and then he tells her she’s on the nice list,” the Facebook post read. “He then says that there’s only one name on the naughty list. Can you guess who? My daughter says who? And he says Hillary Clinton and then started laughing.”

The woman, who identified herself as a Clinton supporter, wrote that she quickly left with her kids.

“I’m upset because this had nothing to do with a child and seeing Santa, and at age 10 she still believes,” the woman wrote.

The news station did not name the woman but reported that she complained to Seminole Towne Center officials. Those officials told her that the man who played Santa at the mall was an employee of a third-party vendor.

According to the woman’s Facebook post, the Seminole Towne Center manager reached out to her to say the mall did not condone Santa’s behavior.

Seminole Towne Center representatives did not respond to an interview request Monday. But on Friday, the mall released a statement noting that the Santa was employed by an outside company and had since been relocated.

“The Santa referenced in recent reports is still employed by the Santa vendor, in a different location,” the statement read in part. “Santa was given additional training to ensure that he remains in the character of Santa during all future appearances. Santa is a symbol of peace, joy and goodwill for all and we are pleased that we are able to bring this cherished symbol to the communities we serve.”

Colorado-based Noerr Programs Corp., which provided the Santa to the Sanford mall, did not respond to a request for comment. But Noerr released a statement Saturday that echoed the mall’s statement, nearly verbatim. Noerr did not name the man who played the controversy-causing Santa.

According to its website, Noerr Programs “serves 3.5 million visitors each year in malls across the nation” through its seasonal photo-op programs with people who play Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. It prides itself on working year-round to recruit “naturally bearded” Santas.

“But a genuine beard is not enough. Santas must have a big heart to match,” the website says. “ . . . Noerr Santas have big boots to fill!”

Also, this guy ran for Mayor of Amarillo TX on a platform primarily of making the city "family friendly".

    ‘Kids, there is no Santa’:
Pastor unloads on families waiting to take Christmas photos at a mall

At first, the parents try to ignore the screaming man at the mall telling their children they’ve been lied to about Santa Claus.

Then it becomes clear he’s not going to stop.

“Kids, I want to tell you today that there is no such thing as Santa Claus,” the man tells people waiting in line for Christmas photos at the Westgate Mall in Amarillo, Tex. “Santa Claus does not exist. The Christmas season is about Jesus.

“The man you’re going to see today is just a man in a suit dressed up like Santa.”

The shouting man is David Grisham, an evangelical street preacher from Anchorage, who has shouted his sermons at people across the country for nearly a decade, whether they want to hear them or not.

On Saturday, his unwilling audience was a group of families snaked around Westgate’s seasonal Christmas village at the food court near Hot Topic and the Gap.

Grisham paid no heed to calls to “chill out” from parents — and as his sermon picked up momentum, things were about to get ugly.

“Don’t lie to your children and tell them there’s such a thing as Santa, when you know in reality that there are no flying reindeer, there is no workshop at the North Pole. . . that you buy all the gifts and put them under the tree.”

A girl in a Santa hat stared, wide-eyed. Other children shot confused looks at their moms and dads. And a few parents decided to take action.

A man in a blue T-shirt approaches. He’s so close to Grisham that the pastor’s cellphone camera captures only his torso.

“Stop,” the man says, speaking over Grisham.

    “Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop.”

“Quit talking this mess, you understand me,” the father says. “I got my kids over there, we don’t need you coming over here blabbing whatever the hell you’re blabbing.”

Other parents approach, diverting Grisham’s attention from his message as tensions rise.

This kind of conflict is not foreign to Grisham, the founder of Last Frontier Evangelism. He travels the country with his wife, spreading the gospel to people who are, for the most part, minding their own business.

He told The Washington Post that God spoke to him a decade ago while he and his wife were on vacation in Mexico. He’s been street-preaching most weekends ever since.

On Saturday, he whipped out his cellphone camera to record his Santa truther episode, hoping a viral video would help spread the gospel.

He’s claiming victory. The video has been seen more than 2 million times. As an added bonus, mall officials say he’s not banned from the mall, per se, though they’re on the lookout for future inappropriate behavior.

Grisham said he’s planning to do the same thing at other malls before Christmas.

Usually, Grisham and his wife carry large signs that quote scripture and let people know that God isn’t fond of whatever they happen to be doing.

“Most of the unsaved people are not going to church,” he said. “My wife and I, we go to gay bars, we go to porn shops. If you’re going to be a fisher of men, you’ve got to go where the fish are.”

In August, they struck up conversations with people outside a strip club, the Great Alaskan Bush Company, carrying a large sign that said “THE WAGES SIN PAYS IS DEATH.”

They spoke at “the Pittsburgh homosexual pride parade,” according to a Facebook picture, and at the Republican and Democratic national conventions, venues where people have come to expect a clash of opinions.

The Grishams have also directed their messages at people who have good reason to say they’re not actively sinning, like Catholics who traveled to Philadelphia to see the pope.

But Grisham told The Post that his biggest beef this time of year is with Kriss Kringle.

“If Santa Claus was a cartoon caricature like Mickey Mouse and everybody knew that it was fake, and no one thought it was real, I’d be fine with it,” he said. “But when you start telling kids that Santa Claus is real, it now becomes idolatry. I’m going after it because it’s idolatry.”

He’s not just “going after” Santa Claus metaphorically.

In 2010, he videotaped a mock execution of a Santa Claus piñata, complete with sound effects and a coup de grace to the Santa piñata.

“What you can’t see,” he told his listeners, “is that we shot Santa in the face.”

He realizes the tactics strike emotional chords. So at the mall on Wednesday he wasn’t surprised when he found himself surrounded by angry parents.

One started pushing him, he said, and on the video he tells the man to stop assaulting him. Nearby, he could see mall employees on their radios, asking for security guards to come.

    It was time to go.

But first, in case anyone hadn’t been listening for the past three minutes, he offered a parting shot:

“Kids, there is no Santa. Santa’s not real. Your parents are lying to you. Don’t believe it. Y’all have a nice day.”

Santa Claus accused of fat-shaming 9-year-old boy hospitalized

      by WGN Web Desk

FOREST CITY, N.C. — A local Santa Claus in North Carolina accused of body-shaming a young boy is now out of a job and in the hospital.

The family of 9-year-old Anthony Mayes claim Eric Crowder — dressed as Santa — fat-shamed their son.

“He said lay off the hamburgers and French fries and that really just disrespected me and I felt awful,” said Mayes.

The story went viral, causing Crowder to quit his job.

His niece, Kelly Butler, said he was considering shaving his beard and cutting his hair, but woke up having trouble breathing. Now, he’s in the hospital after suffering a blood clot to his lung.

She also said she thinks Crowder was in pain when he upset the boy.

“We all have a slip of the tongue and we regret it, and we say I’m sorry. I just hate, I hate the fact that he was labeled bad Santa,” said Butler.

Crowder has worked as Santa in Forest city for the past 12 years. Friends and family started a ‘Support Our Santa’ Facebook page for Crowder.

“And it’s a shame that such a tiny comment has gotten blown out of shape,” said Sunshine McCurry, a friend of Crowder’s.

Friends said Crowder buys toys for the needy and helps people in nursing homes each year.

The Mayes family has not commented on the news of his hospitalization.
