    Venezuela is heading for something truly terrible. It is already heading down that road. Collapsing economy, murder rate out of control, widespread hunger & the last sputtering flame of democracy in danger of being snuffed out. The army & Chavista militias are less & less concerned about attacking & killing protesters.

    There might be a small chance of avoiding this if the OAS gets firmly behind the Venezuelan Congress & defends democracy. That might happen....but it might not. American involvement is tricky. For obvious reasons America is not trusted in the region. Even under Obama the US had to tread carefully, and they liked him a mot more than the self absorbed child who has replaced him.

    Nothing is going to save Venezuela. The army and militia have too much too lose too let go of power. The next step might see Maduro deposed, but then its junta time. Democracy activists better get read to get pushed out the back of cargo flights over the ocean... if they don't just get a shallow grave.
