I'm assuming this is the Russian response to Atlantic Resolve.

What do the Russians do for a 2nd act? The US isn't going away.

Fortunately for Putin he is pitching to people who are happy with lots of posturing, convinced that everything he does is right. If there is a second act it may be a good deal less pleasant.

I'm sure that next there will be a few "boat bumping" incidents. Putins stuck in the cold war and thats how it use to play out.

                    Budget time for the USN.

I remember a few years ago a big stink was made when some Chinese sub showed up a few miles away from a carrier.

Stuff like this makes me realize how much I miss Cap'n Mike. His insights into this would have been great to read. SIGH!

You say the Ruskies and Chinese are deliberatelly going nuts, so the Navy budget can pass?

On Thursday a SU-27 buzzed an RC-135 over the Baltic. Russians are getting aggressive and risky.

The DONALD COOK was 70 miles from a Russian military base with the capability to shoot down every aircraft on that base and no one expected them to respond? The old days we would have sent up planes to practice our interception techniques. I'm sure to hell that the DONALD COOK was testing their firing solutions up and down the ying-yang. You don't get real life opportunities to practice against real opponents that often.
