  • Touring Philadelphia Navy Yard

So I will be needing to kill about 2 hours next month when I pick up a friend in Philly Airport. We then head for our hotel in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

Along the way I figured we'd kill a few hours in the ship yard. Is there much to see there?

    Open to most recommendations.

    Thanks

It is not near impressive since the Des Moines left. They still have some early Tico's the JFK, OHP's, LSD's perhaps an old DD or first gen DDG.
Remember the Olympia is also near or if you brave the the trip to Canton there is this old BB.

Surfgun, I think you mean Camden! I am not sure we will have that much time to actually go aboard Big J. We have been aboard her sister, Wisconsin in Norfolk. It may be cool just to be able to drive by and see a carrier and some Ticos up close.
