Yes, I agree. If we all convert to islam then there will be no violence. Just like if we ban alcohol and guns then there would be no crime.

Why is it that the burden is on us, the host nation, to "understand and accept" immigrants but the immigrants never have to "understand and accept" us, their gracious hosts?
It is not possible to give you the correct answer and remain politically correct but I will give it a try.

From the liberal-socialist point of view, so called "radical" Muslim is a deserved and justified outcome from the imperial/colonial era that somehow has transcended into the post colonial era. They are seen as proof that liberal-leftist-socialist mindset is right, because if the West was good to them in the past, they would never become so hostile. The liberal left sees itself as reactionary force/ideology, it firmly believes that it has learned the lessons form the past and thus, by doing everything opposite, this time it will do it right. That is why it is called progressive, because it strives to become better than it was yesterday. This is, of course, narcissistic point of view and it is a mask of self delusion that they have constructed around themselves because it gives them meaning. It creates vision of the world where they are always right and are always in the center of that utopia. So the more "radical Muslims" kill , the more elevated and enlighten they feel, simply because they are using cause-effect equation in all this. So they are seeing radical Muslims as a corrective factor in their path of progress.

That is the core of that thinking, that that woman asked : What did we do to make them harm us? What she doesn't say, but it can be extrapolated from her question is -" when we are so elevated and good and enlighten and super-ultra-giga-mega". That is the narcissism of the liberal left talking. For me she is greater danger for France than those whom carried out these attacks. Because all that thinking is simply based on denial and what dangerous the most-self-denial. Because it sees France's identity, or any other national identity, as the biggest threat.

This is form experience, because that is how we went down.

You heard it here first, folks.
Nah, heard it from Hollande first. He's been claiming for months that "taking in all refugees would be an IS victory".

IS actually used that for a diversionary move before this attack, sacrificing a pawn who was arrested claiming he planned to attack the Toulon naval base (where CdG is homeported and currently still located).

More likely extra military result for the next couple weeks is gonna be BFST (French SOF) dropping into IS territory to coordinate precision strikes in my opinion.

I didn't said that it was related, yet that it happened. What about that arrest in Germany, news here say that the guy was from Montenegro?

I have no words to express my sadness, we 1.2 Billion Indians stand firm with the French, may the innocent souls rest in peace.

A civil war is in the making and god bless the EU.

Gunnut, hope you are safe, please do keep us updated on the ground reports.

I don't see any signs of us going after their support structure.

Increased bombings while "nice" I guess, will be more of the same.

There's some talk in France and Germany about invoking NATO Article 5 like after 9/11. No such steps at NATO yet though.

Yeah, first name of the guy was Vlatko, can't think of a more Yugoslav-Slavic name. 51 years old, from Podgorica. Likely just a courier in the regular arms supply network from the West Balkans to Western Europe. Guy was shipping 8 AK47 plus ammunition, two pistols, two hand grenades, 200g TNT; he was armed with a revolver.

In order to avoid a panic at the stadium packed with 60,000 people, police - thinking a singular attack - immediately issued a press lockdown, then emptied the stadium into controllable groups with lots of space given including the soccer field in line with existing emergency plans for such events, thus preventing what would likely have been a few dozen to a few hundred dead in an uncontrolled stampede.

That makes sense, I was wondering about the low casualty rate compared to the other groups

everyone in the middle East know who the bad guys are, and the bad guys are 100 percent proud of this attack.

A Syrian passport has apparently been found on a dead terrorist. Evidence that at least one of the attackers came in with the refugee flow.

German national security cabinet has decided not to pursue any security lockdowns or special measures as a result of the attacks. State police forces in states bordering France are supporting the border lockdown from the French side with air patrols of the countryside and armed patrols on all trains entering the country from France. French police, gendarmerie and army in kind will check roadbound traffic.

... or that they bought or stole the passport from one. Greece has sent the finger and hand prints of the person registered there with that passport to France to check if it's the same person.

you know, if our forces have to go back there should be no more catch and release. anyone who is in any sort of a sub mid level and up leadership position in daesh who has not actively cooperated or surrendered to coalition forces need to be tried in a Iraqi or Syrian court and executed.
