From the liberal-socialist point of view, so called "radical" Muslim is a deserved and justified outcome from the imperial/colonial era that somehow has transcended into the post colonial era. They are seen as proof that liberal-leftist-socialist mindset is right, because if the West was good to them in the past, they would never become so hostile. The liberal left sees itself as reactionary force/ideology, it firmly believes that it has learned the lessons form the past and thus, by doing everything opposite, this time it will do it right. That is why it is called progressive, because it strives to become better than it was yesterday. This is, of course, narcissistic point of view and it is a mask of self delusion that they have constructed around themselves because it gives them meaning. It creates vision of the world where they are always right and are always in the center of that utopia. So the more "radical Muslims" kill , the more elevated and enlighten they feel, simply because they are using cause-effect equation in all this. So they are seeing radical Muslims as a corrective factor in their path of progress.
That is the core of that thinking, that that woman asked : What did we do to make them harm us? What she doesn't say, but it can be extrapolated from her question is -" when we are so elevated and good and enlighten and super-ultra-giga-mega". That is the narcissism of the liberal left talking. For me she is greater danger for France than those whom carried out these attacks. Because all that thinking is simply based on denial and what dangerous the most-self-denial. Because it sees France's identity, or any other national identity, as the biggest threat.
This is form experience, because that is how we went down.
